Default What is the smallest twins to make 500whp?

I'm concerned about spool but I want to make 500 whp. What would be the smallest turbos I could go with to meet that goal?

Kit or custom recommendations are accepted.

TIA,
Steve

TIA,
Steve
Any TT setup on the 3.5L VQ will have VERY quick spool. My APS TT kit Garrett GT ball-bearing turbos are seeing 1lb of boost by 1500rpms and full boost slightly after 3000rpms. Now that is some quick spool.

The APS TT, Greddy TT, or PE TT kits all have turbos that are capable of power levels well over 500whp.

he just said, barely after 3000RPM. trust me...lag is overrated anyway. when you're racing, you're up high in the rpm range anyway. and besides, you should never undersize your turbos like that...you'll have to run more boost than with a larger turbo setup to get the same result. if the turbos are running out of their efficiency range, you'll blow hot air into your motor, making everything worse. as previously stated, the turbo kits that are out there now are sized very nicely for people who care about lag and for people who want power levels beyond what the stock motor can handle right now.

It's time for a better boost controller. The one I have does not work well for higher boost applications. I will probably get the blitz id soon.

i would not worry about lag on this car with the present kits offered. i was surprised when i got mine together how it is almost not even noticeable at all. if you do a search for dyno sheets, you will see the tt torque curve is brutal and pretty dang early.

Don't worry about the lag. It is not noticeable at all. 1.75L per turbo + high compression = Little or no lag for the turbo kits currently offered sans the twin 60-1hifi's. Even that is debatable since I've run a 60-1 on a B18 and it didn't have terrible lag(not like a T88H Supra, ok maybe a bad comparison, lol)

BriGuyMax, I just noticed your sig, lol! Funny stuff.

The best part is...I thanked the guy for supplying a quote for my sig and he had NO IDEA that I was making fun of him. Ignorance is bliss...

Lag is nonexistent with the APS kit, probably the other twin kits too (though I have no personal experience with them).
