I might reconsider, but if someone comes with the money it's gone. I hate to let it go though. Let's see what happens. If nothing major, I might just buy a beater. Although I got pretty pumped on the lexus last night.

Say it aint so Gman, say it aint so. I say you def. wait it out until you find out whats wrong with your car. Selling it would be a big loss for you but it is ultimatly your decision. Hope its an easy fix.

jorge...

just read this entire thread..damn!!!! sorry to hear about this...
possibly the turbing the fuel pressure up without re-tuning didn't make the motor too happy?? hopefully just oil seeping in from the valve cover

hey, i feel your pain, i'm on motor #3, built motor #2...gurgen has done this 4 times...
if it makes you feel any better (i'll attempt)...it could be worse

hang in there!!!

Go out and buy your wife a BIG DIAMOND like Kobe Bryant did. That'll fix everything!

Did the new buyer REALLY want your TS body kit?

Gman2004 you mean to tell me you are letting a blown piston rain on your parade. Please tell me you didn't think your G35 was going to run flawlessly on a car that wasn't even meant for FI in the 1st place do you? Forged Internals doesn't guarntee you ****. It's funny when people put/waste all there(i don't care its there money) money into a liability and then get mad when it isn't performing or running correctly. Its even more funny when they have a set price range that want to spend then they end up going over it because of uncalculated mishaps and expenses (If thats not a risk i don't know what is?) If you think you was going to go into project G with out any major expenses your a fool. You wasted what over 35k in parts and labor you gone this far just keep spending money go buy what ever the car needs to get it back in running condition. GL.

Perhaps you don't know some of the history of his car and build. I'm sure he can elaborate, but he had a bad turbo install, blew his engine on the dyno, had the engine rebuilt, traveled 700 miles to get a good tune, etc. That doesn't sound like it was "flawless." At some point you do decide to just "cut your losses." Furthermore, like anyone that pays large dollars to get a product or service done, you expect it to be done right.

I agree with people. It could be much worse! But go with what your heart tells you man. Wish you the best of luck.

It's not a money issue at this point. If it were me, I would just fix it, and if it breaks, fix it again. My wife on the other hand does not feel the same way as I do. Hopefully it is the valve gasket and o rings. I could fix that myself, if so I will keep the car and buy a beater to keep the wife off my back. My wife complains about the money spent on the car, but she is more concerned about driving me to and from work while the car is down.

I'm right there with ya, it gets to the point where you're more afraid to break something than actually enjoying the car. Good luck with the sale.

Gman, so sad to see this happening to ya. Goodluck with everything, maybe by some stroke of luck you can keep the car. That would be so crucial.

At first it didn't run like chit, but like 2 days after it started smoking. Wouldn't all that oil in the plugs prevent it them from firing therefore causing it to run like chit.

Sorry to hear the beast is giving you so much problems. Hope everything works out and you'd change your mind on selling. Everything on my car is such a headache as well. Most of the mods on my car never worked out the first time and I had to pay someone to redo it twice and sometimes even for a third. However, everytime I take it out a for a drive, it just puts a smile on my face.
