Default so....copper or iridium spark plugs?

for FI seems everyone has an opinion on this - saying copper isn't good, doesn't last long enough or not strong enough or whatever, then other people say iridium runs too hot for FI

I can't find who sells copper plugs - where do you get them?

What does everyone think? Seems like more people are using iridium plugs

I would suggest NGK Iridium LFR6AIX-11. They are 1 step colder. One source would be Shariff. I assume you will be installing, so another source would be Vivid Racing.

lol, did u not read his sig?

Anyways, to the original poster, I got the copper plugs from the shop I go to all the time. I was going to get the iridium plugs again, but the shop advised me to get the copper ones instead. They use copper plugs on all their shop cars, and all their cars are 500+whp, which they use mostly for drag racing (a little AutoX as well), and they say they never have any problems with the copper plugs. In fact, they said they've had a lot more success with copper plugs than iridium plugs. They sell both, Iridium and Copper, but always advise the copper ones. If you want copper plugs and can't find them, let me know and I can ask the shop if they're willing to ship (I'm sure they are).

I recently switched to Iridiums and have had some giid success with them. The ones I have are gapped at .039 and seem to be doing well. Copper is probably better performing but they wear out faster...

yeah but copper plugs are like $0.39 each. Copper is better for FI, bigger spark.

so with FI how often are you supposed to change copper plugs vs iridium plugs?

is it like 10k miles vs 20k miles? or 5k vs 10k?

These are the ones! FYI, you can them on eBay from reputable sources at half the price from other sources.

These are the ones I use: NGK LFR6AIX-11 I got them from Sharif and they were pre=gapped to .039...I left them at that gap and surprisingly enough I have not gotten an 0300 code since I put them in...thats was about 3 weeks and 2000 miles ago.
