Default Light clutch? suitable for FI

Hey every one,

so im finally deciding to go with the Greddy TT on my 05 G35 coupe soon. I did wanna upgrade my clutch mainly because i have knee problems and right now the pressure for pushing down on the clutch often is really bother my knees usually in traffic. i was wondering if any one knows a clutch thats suitable for FI but doesnt require too much force to press down on the pedal. I do want it to be not super loud and super expensive but i will pay if its what i want. i know the ATS is much harder and the JWT is close to stock, please let me know if there is one thats easier on the knees!

thanks in advance

Increased pedal pressure after installing the 1600 KG pressure plate on the APS single carbon clutch is unoticable. The twin and triple carbon clutch pressures are even lower. The stock clutch pedal pressure is low as is. It's like butter.

I'm really not clear in what your asking. You won't find anything with a lower pedal pressure than stock. Stock clutch won't hold the power you will be making. The only thing that will have stock pedal pressure and be able to take the power is a twin disc carbon clutch. For the ATS your taking about $2000. Lightened flywheels are all loud. Who told you the ATS was much harder. Not true.

The ATS is available with different rates. My unit is much harder then stock, but still extremely reasonable.

What unit is that? Pressure plate rating?

Here are the PP ratings for the Z

ATS carbon single clutch
1,300 kg
1,600kg
ATS carbon twin clutch
1,100 kg

I have the 1600kg pp and I can't tell the difference from stock which is 1200kg I believe.

there is only more pedal pressure in the brief moment you relieve the pressure plate. other than that the clutch will feel stock.. it will only change on the engagement. most any clutch with this car will engage harshly when you look for a clutch that will handle more power. but my experience is with the tilton and solid motor mounts.

I have the twin carbon 1350kg, which the stiffer one they offer. The lighter one is 1100kg. The 1600kg is only available in the single disk. My 1350 twin is significantly harder to push down then stock... not enough to bother me and not enough that my fifty-something year old mother doesnt have a problem with it or even complain, but it is way tighter then stock or JWT, thats for sure. There have been days where I drove on this clutch, the 1100kg, and the JWT, all in one day... so I have a very good comparison in my head. I spent around 800 miles with a 1100kg, and that one is much closer to stock.

As alluded to, the 1100kg pressure plate on the ATS twin or triple disc carbon is like-stock. You wont notice an increase in pedal pressure at all. The 1350kg pressure plate is 20% stiffer than stock.

I would do the 1100kg twin or triple...depending on your power goals. 500whp or so...do the 1100kg twin, and beyond that, go with the triple. We carry them here....made to order in any configuration you desire. http://www.forgedinternals.com/store...cat=261&page=1

Call Zcargarage, they have a prototype that is soft as hell and they have it on an aps tt kit so it will hold the power around 400whp if not more. 408 452 0350
