Like I said before. I had the same problem and it was the assembly it self not any kind of adjustment. I paid for a new bracket and had my shop install it. Then they refunded me the money. That fixed my problem.

Then 2mo later my blower made a crazy noise I took it off and sent it in to Vortech and they said that they were going to rebuild it because the bearings were bad. I left the kit off and sold it when I got the blower back from Vortech. I think I just had bad luck with the kit. There are a lot of people that have been running fine for almost 2 years. I hope you fix it. Good Luck.

This is so ****ing fustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vortech gave me this repsonse:

"ok... here i is... he says that to him it looks as if the pulley's were loose at some point. because of the way the belt was tracking in one of the videos. The belt was jumping up and down and that is a direct result of a pulley being loose. At some point they got tightend up and the belt stopped jumping. he says that the noise you hear now is pretty normal but some of it could be coming from the pulleys since its a big possibility that they were loose. He would suggest replacing the pulley that the belt was jumping on in the video."

I don't know how to explain this. The pully was tight. It began making this horrendous noise. So...the only way to quiet that noise was to loosen the belt on the cog. Thats why it looks wabbly. Tightening it up makes it sound worse (metal on metal). Thats why i did that last video where i tightened it and it made a worse noise. This isnt normal. Something is wrong and its not the f'in pulley. It sounds like bearings or metal on metal. I just want this **** fixed. I spent 7K getting this thing on and its been nothing but a f'in headache. CP Race looked at it and said its the pulley too. WTF. I wish they would send me some bracket or replacment and I'll pay to swap it out. But this has to be fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am out ot town till Friday. Remind me on Saturday and I will check to see if I still have it. You can have it for free.

Thanks for the support Jorge. I hope so too. Just fustrating thats all.

Vortech wants me to send the blower, bracket with jackshaft back so they can see if something is wrong!! Thats pretty much the entire damn unit except the belts. Can't wait to see how much that'll cost me to uninstall and install their defective product.

To kinda update everybody. CP Race tried to help me out by calling Vortech. In the end...Vortech's answer was that it was normal and if I thnk otherwise...I need to send the blower, the bracket with the jackshaft back to them and they will check it out. Thats gonna cost me a bunch to de-install all those parts and then reinstall them. ****!!

I pleaded with Vortech to send the spare parts to CP Race...that way...I could do this all in one trip as opposed to deinstall...send out...send back...reinstall. I live nowhere near a reputable shop so not only do i get ****ed with the installation fees...i have to miss multiple days of work. wtf. I asked if I could do what one of theo ther posters did and that was to purchase a new bracket and have it shipped to me and then I'll send the old one back and then i get my refund. Nope. Can't do that either. Why can't they be a bit more supportive.

Safe to say I am unhappy with Vortech right now...guess its my fault not living near a vortech shop.

That is BS!!! I think it was a guy named Jamie from Vortech that let me buy the bracket and then refunded me after I sent it back to them. I am 98% sure that your prolem is the bracket and not the blower it self.

I believe Vortech considered you a "special case" since a part of your blower (and several others too) had a part that wasn't properly tight... or something like that. Jason's been persuing this from every angle, IMO he should just buy the damn bracket and call it a loss.

Either that or ship the blower back, install a new blower then sell the rebuilt blower for a slight loss.

True, but I wouldn't want to go back to NA now. Heck, I've had my share of "issues" too. 4 thrown codes, all P1273. Two of these codes have gone off in the last 36 hours. Then there's the joy of the broken pulley tensioner bolt.

Now I'm off to go buy a scanner to read/erase codes. That's more money, so I feel your pain bro!

It might actually be good for me to drive NA again. I've been spoiled with the S/C and it may be good for me to feel the normal underpowered VQ again.

You can get a code reader and eraser at Wal-Mart for only $99.95. I bought one and its well worth the 100 bucks IMO.

Do you have the stock 3.33 pulley? If so put that on with the 3.33 belt. See if that makes a difference. That should tell you if it's belt/pulley related, def. doesn't sound right. Wish I could make it to the meet on Sat. so I could look @ it but I have to work now.

Just came on this board to look for the answer to this same problem. My G35 sounds 100% identical to yours in the 3rd video (with the tightened belt). I imagine if i loosen it it'll sounds the same as yours. I would love to hear how you resolve this, as its driving me crazy as well. I'm in Vero Beach...where are you located in FL?

I'm in Ocala now but grew up in West Palm. The nearest shop to me quoted me $400 to remove the blower and reinstall it when Vortech sends it back. Uggggggh
