My list of APS ST annoyances
yeah, mine is finally fxed, i think it was the WG actuator the entire time. once i get the new one on ill be set. im gonna try to go dyno since im making 14 psi and see what numbers i get. should be well over 400. good luck.

Are you not worried about running 14psi? That sounds like a lot for someone that has not been tuned for that PSI.
So they pretty much designed the APS exhaust to give constant boost...?
What numbers are possible with the stock exhaust. I plan on getting the ST but the exhaust in a few months after.

try this trick. drop the exhaust, dyno the car and check the boost levels. if there is no bleed off, then your exhaust, not the wastegate is the culprit. i don't believe i have the only functioning wastegate in the batch. i had the same problem everyone did with the boost bleed off. i used a manual boost controller and jic 3", got rid of the reducer pipe and viola, consistent boost all the way to redline.
i did all that exhaust dropping and the boost still dropped, ive pretty much reinstalled the entire kit, changed alot of it out to different parts, still had the boost leak before i wired the WG shut.
i am kinda worried about running 14 psi, i dont keep it there, i try to keep it about 10-11, but it kinda sucks having to control the boost with the throttle, id rather go WOT and not worry about it, but for now i only go about 90% throttle and adjust accordingly, i guess i was blessed with a strong stock engine, for now.

well, my installer just called with some preliminary numbers.
no surprise, boost drop with the reducer. he told me the same thing you see with phxblue's numbers.
he pulled off the reducer and the boost held steady to redline. dropped maybe 1 lb, but that's about it.
he said with my set-up (aftermarket cams), he could prolly tweak out 350-355 rWHP with the restriction. if i got it uncorked and went with a freer flowing exhaust, he could prolly get A LOT more (i swore i heard 430). HOPEFULLY, i will get some numbers posted tomorrow in a separate thread.
ted from scott performance will tune it with and without the reducer for comparison.
