Default figure this one out...

im posting this here because i posted it in the repairing forum and didnt get a single answer and i know there are some guys in here familiar with this cars quirks.

the other night my "SET" light for the cruise control on the dash started blinking and my cruise control wouldnt work, i pulled over and turned the car off and back on and it kept blinking. so i turned it off and let it sit for a minute and cranked it back up. the light went off but my CC still doesnt work. any ideas??

I assume your speedo is working, and there are no CEL's?

I had a problem with my cruise not engaging and the light flashing....turned out their was a engine code flipped....the dealer said there was a faulty part in/around the shifter that was making the engine computer think the car was in between gears i.e. shifting - this activated a fail-safe that kept the CC from engaging.

They replaced the part under warranty.....just a longshot.

Good Luck.

Typo....meant ...Did you change out your rear end....3.2 to a 3.5 ..3.5 to a 3.2 ? This will screw up the CC and it will not work

happened to me last summer when i was in driving to hotlanta. Was a real pita cause i did not have cruise on the highway. I got up the next morning and the problem was gone. I know that does not help much for finding the cause but i am hoping that it is just a fluke and goes away.
