Default 505 Whp!!!

It's finally done!! Everything is finished for the motor and I got it tuned, thanks Church Consultin. The final numbers are 505 WHP and 479 TQ!!! Can't wait to take it to a track! I don't have any way to post the dyno results unfortunately. Thanks to everyone who responded to my posts and especially Shariff for all of his help.

Awesome numbers, congrats. Please post some pics and the dyno when ready. How much boost and octane to get those numbers?

Good luck!
Ron

I don't have the chart here in front of me but I think it was 14.2 pounds of boost and the octane was 91. I was very pleased. I am trying to get the charts posted, and I will have some pics after this weekends run with everyone in SoCal.

with all these built engines do any of you'll take the time to break them in, instead of beating the hell out of a fresh new engine.

Break-in procedure is debatable, so it really just depends on personal preference and experience..more than anything else.

For us, we break the motors in for 50-100miles on conventional oil, and then tune them to full power, just after switching to synthetic. Making good power..with good leak-down and compression results...so that is what we do. Others may advocate a longer break in period, and there is nothing wrong with that method either.

I would have done a lot in the car but on Monday last week I got in an accident. I was coming around a corner and someone pulled out in front of me I swerved and the back end slid out, tried to correct it, but couldn't get the wheels to catch. I slid sideways into a telephone pole. I am pretty sure it is totalled, we will find out soon. Luckily no one was in the car as the pole hit on the drivers side and mashed the door pretty good. I am fine and I will probably start looking for a new Z soon to build again. Oh well, S**t happens right?

I guess the next one will just have to be better and more power.
