Default Winter Storage

Here in buffalo the snow has hit so its time to store my car. Now I have a fully built long block from sgp, what is the best method for storage ? Should i let it sit all winter then start it up in spring, or should I frequently start it up like once a week ?

Did you ever play sports? If you did, should you practice one hour once a week for 15 weeks or 15 hours in one day?(Start it up once a week and let it idle for a minute or two. No matter, I would put a fuel stabilizer in the tank reguardless.
