Is launch control like the *apologies* BMW launch control where you engage a switch, floor the throttle and keep it floored and the computer does all the necessary to maximise power band vs gear shift.

In BMW's case, a carry over from the (and more apologies for you US guys) Formula 1 car.

Hey Sharif,

Any news on the firmware progress that will allow standalone timing control? This definitely doesn't seem to be the one.

18% slip is ideal physically. Just something a teacher once told me.

I talked to Kenji last week; he said they're aiming for that to be released sometime in January. They also want to add a knock retard function.

But don't hold your breath on January, from what I've seen so far with them, time estimation is a VERY fluid thing. They first said it would be October/beginning of November.

Also, I was supposed to have an update I need for the VQ30 engine in 2-4 weeks and it's now been more like 4 months...
