Default Injectors why so expensive for the Z?

Just wondering why injectors cost so much for this car. im looking into FI (getting a used ATI kit) and was quoted 1k for 380cc injectors.. did a little more shopping and saw 700+. so it would be cheaper to get domestic injectors for ex mustang injectors aftermarket NIB for under 300$ for all 8 not each & get the injector connectors off a junkyard motor and swap them out its only 2 wires rite..and if you effup the first two you try you have two extra.. am i missing something? ive done this on other cars why wont it work with the Z? is there anything i should look out for? i will probably not do this just wondering. i guess its not JDM but

WOW!Blood suckers...that's pretty steep price. I was lucky and got 6 440cc injectors from one of the Greddy TT for $125 My advice is to keep an eye in the Private Classified section. Many forum members selling injectors ranging from 380cc to 650cc.

I was wondering this about injectors off a dsm. My 1G turbo talon came stock with 450cc denso peak-hold low impedance injectors. The auto turbos came with 380cc's. Ebay is flooded with dsm injectors, a set would cost $50 or less and could be cleaned and balanced for under $100. The connectors are the same as the ones from the greddy kit or RC's, I just don't know about the intake manifold side compatability. Has anyone looked into this?

FYI...APS injectors would still require chopping. The reason it is plug/play with the kit, is becuase the APS TT kit includes a new loom.

Cutting the stock plug takes just a minute or two. Its two easy wires.

We sell RC Injectors at around $550 including shipping and insurance...sometimes less if its with a package deal. They come witih the fuel rail spacers, but if you need the injectors harenss, those are $65 extra for the set.

Cool, me too Im planning on upgrading the 380 to the 440s also.
Did you need to buy any extra parts for the swap? I believe the ones came with the GReddy kit is not plug and play no?

Shoot! I really don't know about if it's plug-n-play. I thought it was made for our car with the Greddy TT kit, so I assumed that it's plug-n-play. I haven't install these 440cc injectors yet. I also bought the CJM fuel return system. Now waiting for the Utec and water/methanol inject kit.

Hey guys, if you have 380cc TN injectors, you will need to pick up the RC injector harness clips, and wire them into your stock loom. Don't be afraid...its really easy to do. Two wires, and some solder. Once you wire up the RC injector harness, the new injectors snap right in.

The Greddy TT people get the 440cc injectors with the kit, along with the RC injector harnesses.
