So i got the 90 degree 3.5inch i.d. intercooler hose. It is a 3 ply hose, but its not super firm, i can squeeze and squish it. My question is when i put it on in place of the air filter should i be concerned about it getting sucked in? Anyone know how much vaccuum at peak redline is being drawn at the impeller. Im guessing it cant be too much, as that k&n filter on it is pretty squishy. TIA
I used silicone 3.5" it's real soft, It would never be able to loose its structure under boost I think you will be fine.
I got sick about how the stock Voctech filter is mounted so I did this with 3.5" silicone, 90 deg. sweep in stainless and new K&N filter.. look at picts!!

Nice Kevin...I used a flexable hose that has wire in it so it doesnt lose its shape when you bend it . With the G35 AT5 , you cant go thru the radiator support . Had to go straight down and in front of the wheel well
Kevin , after relooking at my front end and the location of the your filter , do you have to remove the bumper to get to the filter? What did you have to modify to relocate to it's position..thanks
www.turbohoses.com Talk to Hover good guy, Tell him kevin sent you, he's sharp.
The ss pipe and silicone 3.5" is $$$$$.
I had to Dremel out some plastic so the sweep would fit beter, no big deal.
I can get my hand in to the right of hood latch to get filter out, one handed job!
