I have a profec E-01 and love the display. I have read several posts that it isn't the greatest boost controller for high boost applications. Is there anyway that I can use the profec E-01 to display my boost and A/F ratio while using the utec as engine management and another boost controller? I know it sounds redundant but the profec e-01 looks lovely where it is mounted. Also, does anyone have problems with the e-01 lcd screen not loading or display anything when it is cold? Mine does this and I have to turn the ignition off and restart the car and then it works? Thanks
my e-01 doesnt hold steady boost. i run 16.5 psi. (really spike at 17, drops to 14.5...fluctuates between 14-16.5 psi)
so, no, in my experience, it is not great for high boost applications

The e-01 is marginal at best for 15psi+. In many instances, you get a boost flutter for about 750 rpm or so, as the boost facilates high and low before stabilizing. The Blitz SBC-iD is a better choice....no boost fluctuation.
If your main goal is just to keep the display, you could certainly leave everything attached, but just turn off the boost control functionality on the e-01. Then you can run your UTEC equipment. I would just remember to remove the boost control solenoid for the e-01 from the engine bay, or whereever you mounted it.
