Default Considering the AAM oil pan spacer for the TN kit

Now that I have a TN kit on order, I am looking into this oil pan spacer kit.

I am a little scared of drilling the block and the spacer kit offers a little bit of comfort haha. Of course with benefits of added capacity, cooling, ease of gauge install, etc doesnt hurt either.

I can just install the spacer kit w/o the "line kit", right? I am wondering if I can just use the spacer kit itself and the rest of it is taken care of by the TN kit's hardware.

Is the group buy on or what?

There are folks who have used the TN kit with oil pan spacers. However, I don't see a spacer giving you any increased cooling capacity, just higher volume capacity.

I personally would rather go with the APS or PE lower oil pans if you're interested in an upgrade.

well honestly i have the jwt oil pan spacer which i believe is the same, and well the only advantages i see is more oil capacity and well not having to drill the block instead drilling the spacer.

Personally I have decided to go with the JWT oil pan spacer. My block is already tapped for the oil return but you could tap the oil return into the pan spacer and it has been done successfully many times before. My reason for the pan spacer was simple. For $95 you get an extra quart of oil. Then I am putting together my own oil cooler.

Mocal adaptor: $80
Setrab core: $190
Lines/fittings: $120
Pan Spacer: $90

Total cost is $480 for a MUCH better oil cooler then any finned pan and 1 quart of extra oil.
