Lesson learned... Thanks guys.

The update is my body shop found another $1-$2 grand in damages w/o putting the car on a lift. They said the frame rails are too bent for them and since they don't have the necessary laser alignment tools to r&r them, I'll need to take the car to yet another shop. Hopefully the little lizzard (GEICO) will get tired of carting my car all over creation and they'll just total it out. :fingerscrossed:

Thanks Richard. I still want your rims and tires and I plan on getting Dan's OEM calipers/rotors/pads. Those brembos go for a pretty penny.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words. I'll be around from time to time and will be parting out ALL KINDS OF MODS (in the appropriate forum... ha ha) in the next few weeks.

Well if you care about the update... keep reading.

Today I got a check from GEICO for $19,000+ for my 2004 G35 Coupe 6MT with 27,000 miles on it. They would NOT total the car BUT they did me a huge favor. They called "a guy" who buys, repairs and then sells near totaled vehicles to come take a look at my car. "This guy" showed up and purchased my vehicle AS IS (minus the mods) for $10,000. That's $29,000+ which is more than I would have got had GEICO totaled out my car.

I will end up with $29,000+ for a car that went for $35,000 new 2 years and 27,000 miles ago. I can not believe how this all turned out!!! So I ended up losing about $6K for 27,000 miles of enjoyment and I'll end up selling it and keeping the OEM brembos!!!

So, I've got 2 weeks to part out the car and hand over the title. Expect a little for sale thread very soon.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I'm glad you're okay.

If I were in your position, I'd get the car fixed, trade it in and get a new one. The car would never be the same.

Awesome todd glad to hear things turned out well. You cant complain with that situation assuming you can still salvage most of what you have the car. I remember when my first Z was totaled after one model year and only 8 months I lost close to 3k so for 2 years 27k miles thats not a bad deal at all.

I would get rid of the car. It will never be the same. My wife cracked up her Eclipse GTS. It was fixed, however it was never the same. The suspension, brakes etc always were out of whack. No matter how mant times it was brought in for repair they could never fix it. Traded it in on a Murano.

Actually, I'm not getting another G35. I don't like the new 2006 changes like the tail lights, the new front bumper, the new spoiler, etc... Plus, the wife and I had a '2 year' plan. Basically I could play for 2 years until the little one started school. After that the wife wants to stop working and it would be tough to pay off another G in ~19 months and save as much money as we agreed upon.

So... yesterday I got a new Toyota Tacoma Double Cab (almost got the Frontier). Should be parting the car out BEFORE Christmas and the parts should be hitting the buyers shortly thereafter.
