What is a good safe turbo setup for the 350z?

If you take a look at the total landscape, and just take a deep breath...there are two immutable facts in regards to the FI experience as it relates to nearly any car that is not FI from the factory.
1) Every car is going to respond differently to the base tune, and really needs a re-tune for maximum power and safety
2) ALL of the kits can be equally safe, once properly installed, and properly tuned.
Everything else is up for debate, and everyone will have their own opinions. I dont really think the original question can be answer.
Absolutely none of these kits is perfect out of the box..they have their strengths, and their limitations/weaknesses.

Seriously guys, this argument comes up just as much as the topic being posted. I do A LOT of searching on this forum, inconspicuously picking everyones brain for their experiences with F/I on the 350. A majority of the threads that I run across have the potential but always gets clutered with battles over what's better, what kit has blown the most motors or "sell your SC and go turbo". I hate having to "dig a needle out of a haystack".
The bottom line here is that the safety and reliability of your motor lies in the hands of you and your tuner, if you decide to exceed what the kit was "TUNED" to do. It is then up to YOU to do your due diligence and build your car accordingly. It's up to your tuner to make sure everything runs in harmony. So, I can safely say that all the available kits are safe but don't expect your hand to be held by the manufacturer once you leave their "beaten path". If anything, choose a kit because it cosmetically appeals to you. They have all have proven their power potential at this point in the game..

The TN is a good kit, just not as complete out of box as I would like to see it as an end user.

It cracks me up how people choose TN due to lower costs but then you see people jump at a piggyback plus injectors and fuel return to add to it.
The one thing I don't like about the mail order tunes is you have to send out your ECU to get it flashed if its not done correctly the first time your car is down again. With some of the other softwares like split second, UNI Chip, Emanage its all there in your hands or your tuners hands to deal with your seeing everything done first hand on the dyno every change is monitored you get the best bang for the buck. It is all on preference but it seems like everyone agrees that you do need a custom tune for your vehicle no matter which kit you run
Wow,
I did not expect a war of words. I was just interested in a kit that is SAFE and RELIABLE and won't blow the STOCK motor. I would only run very low boost with either system-supercharger or turbo. But I would agree the installation and initial tuning are the key to longevity. That is why LPE(Lingenfelter) is at the top of the Corvette tuner list!

Thanks
Thanks
Why don't you go with a TT (and get a complete kit!) and get a boost controller, that way you can turn down the boost when you are just driving around town, then turn it up to have some fun!!
