Exclamation Help with install, turbonetics single turbo

I have gathered the most component mechanics that I know to do this Tomorrow, and I have a few questions to make this an easy( ), easier install, so here we go:

1st, What are some common issues during installation, that could save time if addressed before install begins?
2nd, If I start tomorrow, which I am, if I mail the ecu off, will I have it back before Thurseday?
3rd, Out of the box, what should the a/f be like, I have a uego wideband a/f gauge?
4th, When I put the new plenum and custom 3" exhaust, what precautions should I take, ecu reflash(?), or don't worry about it?

For now, I would appreciate all the help you can offer.

Thanks
Craig

Basially what I told him is to follow the instructions and its a pretty straightforward install. I've been helping a buddy install his G kit this weekend and honestly everything is there. I mean common sense stuff like running in the taps by hand and not a drill is even in the instructions. The instructions are pretty thorough. Make sure you get a good dyno with AFR post install to verify all the numbers look ok before you get on it. I do not recommend driving it too hard unless you have at LEAST a boost gauge in the car that works..

Yeah too bad the 60-1 can only handle so much...Im gonna have to go to the T66 this spring maybe. BTW, you know how much the 60-1 can push? boost wise and hp?

Max airflow is about 570 Crank HP...Turbo will probably start leaving its efficiency range after 15 PSI but 20 psi is possible. Modified Mags car is making ~460 RWHP and 520 ft/lb of tq at 14 PSI tuned. Same kit but with bigger injectors and a piggyback.

Sort of curious myself, what are the capabilities of the 60-1, in terms of hp and boost? Also, of the number of turbonetics turbos out there, are they interchangeable?

Yes the 62-1 is a direct fit and should provide about 10% more airflow. Turbonetics is going to start doing Stage II soon with a T61 or T66 turbo.

awesome, how much does that cost and will it work with the ecu reflash, or do you need to have it reflashed again?

at that point you might be better off gettin a UTEC or EMU...youll have better control over the ecu than the reflash can give you

Its a little down the road for me, but I agree with you on the utec or emanage, I am still on a learning curve, but I'll get the hang of it sooner than later hopefully.

If you plan to go with a bigger turbo or tune for higher I would highly recommend waiting on the Stage 1.5 upgrade from Turbonetics. It comes with an EMS and 510cc injectors. The EMS will be programmable by any tuner shop and you can tune to your hearts desire. I will warn you that past mid 400s in dangerous territory and you need to start thinking about building the motor.

yeah i agree w/ Mia, a motor build should come first before you even do a turbo upgrade. Another option you could do is to get the tuner kit from turbonetics, and get the piggyback and injectors yourself

Well if you are going to get the Tuner kit you might as well just get the Stage 1.5 full kit. it has injectors big enough for low to mid 500s and an EMS to tune with...Plus it will probably be cheaper then buying the same parts piecemeal.
