I'm checking all over on here and seeing a range of numbers for the vortech supercharger kit...
What sorta numbers does the Vortech Supercharger kit do in 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times? Any numbers will do... I'm trying to get some barring...
people are ranging from 13.3 -> low 12's... Thats a hell of a difference!!! I mean I've seen my car does 13.4 before without any boost at all... so im just trying to see what is possible after adding the kit

stock car, people get around 350-360whp
people are pushing up to 475whp right now with all the right bolt on parts and smaller pulley etc
people generally run low to high 12's. Maybe low 13's with stock everything else.
I think it's entirely possible to reach 11's with some racing tires and a high hp vortech setup
0-60 is probably under 5 sec, but depends on the car and driver. Not much info on that though

Generally people run low 13´s at around 110mph, some higher some lower. Sentry show me 5 (of the hundreds) examples of Vortech cars running low 12´s or even 12.4 to 12.7, I only know of 1 s/c guy that ran low 12´s and that was a Procharger, Im sure you can prove me wrong if you say generally thats what they run ...

well how many vortech owners do you know that are running 420-475whp that have 1/4 mile times posted?
if your average 350-380whp vortech car runs low 13's @ 110mph, I suppose an extra 100ish whp would do absolutely nothing? I call BS on that
and yeah I know Sins4u with running like 360whp on his auto Z with stock everything EXCEPT michelin PS2's in stock sizes, ran a 12.3x
that's a testament for something. His car was well tuned and on the east coast etc. How much faster would he be if he had slicks and 100more whp, and 100 lbs lighter?
give me 2 months and I'll prove that my car can hit low 12's with a vortech. Doesn't seem hard to me

See that scares the **** outta me to not buy a supercharger... I dont wanna invest 5k in something that wont even be barely breaking 12's... even if im not that worried about my 1/4 mile time... I still dont wanna make an investment that doesnt help me at all
Mid to High 12's are possible. I ran 13.1 @ 110 with a 2.2 60ft. I was running on the stock 245 18's. This was a bone stock car with no other mods. I had 376RWHP at the time. I only had two runs and both had wheel hop.
I think it would be hard to be in the low 12's with out slicks on a Vortech with less than 410 - 450 RWHP. I guess I will never know what I could have run with that setup.

The question wasnt ¨what CAN Vortech cars run?¨It was what sort of numbers do they ¨produce?....that changes the answer to this question drastically doesnt it¨? BTW I can think of 1 Vortech owner who has well over 400whp and barely runs 12´s...
Trending Topics
cj350 just ran a 12.7 @ 112 mph with a 2004 5at 350z last weekend at Bithlo (Orlando FL) It was only his second run with the kit and he thinks he could actually do better with a little practice.
I dunno Alberto, it's probably true that a lot of numbers haven't been posted cause usually people interested in just 1/4 mile times get a turbo. High hp vortech setups are rare cause they're expensive to buy all the NA bolt on parts
given that NA cars full out are running low 13's or even high 12's in some cases with 290ish whp or less even, I would think adding 150whp more would make them faster.

especially when adding 50whp can get you i dunno, .5-.7 sec faster in the 1/4 mile. I know it gets harder to shave more and more time off as you go, but 12's aren't even THAT fast
In my opinion for the price of the single turbos there is no reason to go with a supercharger on the 350z. I have now have had both on my car and there is no comparison between the two. The turbo has so much more power through the whole rpm band. It is night and day difference from the Vortech to the TN turbo. Again this is only my opinion.
A vortech supercharged Z can easly run mid 12's with bobafettms mods and good tries, it is all about driver.... like everyone else said there is no logic to improving .3 seconds when adding 100+ hp it just doesn't make sense. I have seen many vids of the vortech in the 12's ask BARTENZA him selF!!!!

I have no ****ing idea what to do... lol
I'm at the point of trading the Z for an Evo seems like an idea... im just so frigin confused!!! It seems that the single turbo price is about 7k everything done... the Vortech is about 5k + install... but the vortech wont even give me that great of a feel... it just seems like the TN is the way to go with the Z... unless you can get the TT setup for a great price

Don't trade the 350z for an EVO. That is one ugly car. Buy the TN tuner kit and then buy your self the UTEC, 440cc injectors, and a fuel pump. With that setup you can have a low to mid 400RWHP car. That should not cost you more than $5700 before install. Labor should be around $1100 - $1500 for everything.
Or if you have an APS tuner close by then get the APS single. With that kit you will get everything you need. Install on that kit should be around $1500.00. It will come out to be the same in the end. Good Luck.
