Found it, members name is Meme... It appears to be the Evolution/Deltagate block off plate that is offered from Turbonetics.

Well there it is I guess lol, and nice to hear about a prompt response by Turbonetics... Which I have to admit is one of the rare companies to care enough to react to such things.

Though chances are without you MIA, it may never have happened since you are the connection

I try to let them know whats going on so it doesnt require a call to them to get it fixed. I have to say those guys have been overly responsive to everything I have brought to them or suggested. More so then any company I have ever even heard of.

Hey Jet, just how loud is this wastegate with the vent to atmosphere (VTA) set-up? Is it super loud?

It's crazy loud. Pretty rediculously loud. But only under boost of course. Normal driving it isn't very loud at all. You might not even notice it. But under WOT it's the guns of the Navarone.

Jet, this might be a dumb question, but did this completely solve your boost creep issue? If so, this is great news! Can you comment on the boost build up and boost stability? Any creep or spikes, or is it rock solid.

I am sure Kelly is salivating over this....or did Kelly already do this. Damn..I feel so out of the loop.

Damn Sharif..... you are the loop dude.

Boost is rock solid. Boost is steady, and stable. No creep or spikes.

Kelly is awaiting the TNetics solution. I decided not to wait and attack this with my money.

I am waiting for a TNetics solution too. I would do what JET did but I am afraid that venting to atmosphere will just be something I can't live with (too loud).

Looks like your attack was a stunning success! Thanks for sharing. I never though these boost issues were related to the exhuast system, per se, and you proved me right!

Well.... it is related to the exhaust system. If you put on a less restrictive exhaust system the exhaust will allways follow the path of least resistence which is through the turbo instead of out the wastegage. So with the stock exhaust you are ok because it is building back pressure and the wg is the path of least resistance. By reloactating the wastegate and making the exhaust flow to it more efficient the path of least resistance is through the wg again with a free flowing exhaust installed.

ive been trying to find pics to see exactly how this changes the stock location of the WG, i know it is mounted right below the turbo in the exhaust charge side, and then reenter right past the turbo on the exhaust outlet side. so now you just put a cap on the flange on the side past the turbo correct. and the piece of pipe the new WG is mounted on is fabricated and welded onto the original pipe?

I don't know what you are doing at CP Racing.... you didn't tell me. But if your going to have the TN kit installed and have a Borla cat back you will likely not have a problem as the Borla does not flow well enough.

I think all the problems with the overboost have been with 3" exhausts.

It should not be a problem. If it is you will catch it on the dyno.
