Default Turbosmart Wastegate Pics / Cure for TN Overboost

Here are the pics of the Turbosmart wastegate solution for fixing my overboost problem with my TN kit. People have been requesting these.

Before anyone asks.... NO it does not hang down below the plastic shield. A hole was cut in the plastic fairing to vent this to the atmoshpere.

LOUD is an understament. But only on boost. Driving around town like a normal human being it is closed, and the car sounds normal as all the exhaust is going through the muflers out back.

Respect
JET

The block off plate is a mounting flange with a piece of metal welded over the hole. AAM made it.

The wastegate cost $520 with all the hardware and a few different springs.

Thanks for the comments.

You know, thinking about it, they probably used the block off plate they made for my car when we tested flipping the evolution over....90 bucks or something for that thing....I need to call them and get that sucker back!

JET, one question...did they block off your dump tube, or did they remove it and install the block plate directly on the downpipe?

I made them remove the dump pipe and install a blocking plate on the downpipe.

Cool, that is what I was thinking was done for you... Only reason I was asking about a pre-made one is that someone had one installed... And I think that would be easier for me.

Man I would love to hear your car one of these days

And I hope it can use the Evo wg , and wont cost an arm and a leg, or will just require a trade in of my unused pipes
