Default Greddy owners, install question

Ok Im FINALLY going to pick up my Z on Wed of this coming week. New motor is sitting in the garage and ready to go. Ill be pulling off all the Greddy TT stuff from the blown motor and swapin it to the new motor. Ive also bought a fuel return system. Its used and came with no install instructions, any tips? I also just bought a Timing Harness for the EM blue. I got it today and it also comes with no instructions. I was shocked when I pulled it out of the package. I paid 40.00 for about 12 wires in plastic? Is this all it comes with? I must be missing something! If anyone has install tips on any of this please post. Cant wait to start the new project!

the return system should be a snap if you klnow what it is supposed to do. i was able to install the exhaust manifolds, turbos, and one downpipe and drop the motor in from the top without removing the radiator. wastegates and other downpipe had to wait till it was in the car. now is a good time to wrap the manifolds and turbos with header wrap while out of the car.
as far as the ign. harness, doing a search on the net or going to greddy will dig up all the info you will need. good luck!

contact the builder of the return system... if its CJM we have PDF and TXT based documention that I can send you, and I am sure that AAM would gladly send you their documentation.

My tip on installing that timing harness is to take your time and make sure you do it perfectly. Double then triple check it... you definatly dont wanna end up grabbing a wrong wire and then have something wacky going on like 1 cylinder that isnt pulling timing.

Thanks guys, the Turbos will be check before install. Ive talked with a bunch of guys and they seem they will be ok because the rod went through the block. I guess we'll see soon. Im not sure what fuel system it is. It used teh stock rails. Its nothing like the APS one Ive installed. I took it out of the box and was like woah!lol. Phunk, do you have instructions on how to install this harness? Im sure Sharrif will be able to help if not, thats where I bought it. Thanks again guys.

Call me on Monday, I will fax you the installation diagram. My appologies it wasnt includes in the package. The good news is that it is a very straightforward wiring process.

If its an AAM fuel system, I can fax you the installation instructions for that as well.

Sounds good. I will include a hard copy with the order. If you have additional questions about how to wire it up, dont hesitate to call.

hmmm. not really the best way of doing it. what hp you trying to get? there are restrictors in the stock fuel rails that need to be drilled out, and from the looks of it only one fuel rail is being fed and relying on the crossover tube to feed the other. if the rear of the rails were cut off and welded on fittings, then both rails could be fed and the fronts used for the return to the fpr, then return to the tank. only going by what i can tell in the pics though.

looking at the amount of line you have, they must be using the stock fuel lines to connect to the rails. at 400whp you should still be ok. but look down the rear of the rails. you will see it restricts to about 1/2 the diameter. better fuel flow can be had by drilling this out. prolly won't hinder at 400whp, but what the hell.

ya looks like the long one is going to be the return. but there is still the stock fuel feed line fitting on the output of the fuel pump housing, so i'm guessing they were using the stock fuel rail feed for the rails too. should still work for that hp range though. but much more, and some changes would be in order. simple things though. good luck. you got a smoking deal on that car so you will be miles ahead in the long run.
