Are you sure it wasnt a Trans Am with Ram Air. Those are pretty quick. And have that bird emblem. Which would explain.

i dont know for sure what it was. I spent most of my time trying to decide to do it or not since i dont want to get busted street racing due to my carer in aviation. I hate street racing and to be honest dont do it at all. I just had a lapse of a few seconds were i wanted to with this guy since he was such a jerk but oh well.

I thought the GTO's were 310hp stock? That's like 258 to the wheels right? How would that beat a FI Z with 400whp?

I'm pretty sure the 05's HP was bumped up to 400 hp. I do however think that's crank hp and a 350+ hp Z would/should beat it.

The new LS2 GTOs will put down 330 whp on a dynojet. They take well to parts like exhaust and intake, so most would run maybe 360 whp or more with a couple bolt ons. With a 400 whp Z, you should still eat 'em up depending on your driving stills

is it possible it could have been the supercharged grand am??

I drove one of those a few years back with traction control of and gave it half gas and nothing but white smoke from the front tires.
