No see, I dont want to be hearing things like is, losing to a Grand Am,are you sure it wasnt a Pontiac GTO, it was definataley a Grand Am? Did it seem like it was worked or something? Not to offend you, but maybe he just had better driving ability, is your car manual? Did you race from a stop or was this a punch at speed? These are all very important questions.

You see I think it was a grand am but it may be a GTO it had that bird symbol, im not into those cars so Im unaware of them. Im not feelign bad because the race wasnt to good of a set up and it wa smy fault as a driver to loose I think not the Z. You see this guy cut me off to perpusoly race and me hating to street race wasnt goign to but then he got so anoying that I decided to go but that time i was in first gear and he was downshifted to 2nd already it looked like so his car was all spooled up already. MY FAULT! Next time i wont wait till the last minute to race LOL.

People lose all the time dont worry about it. Even people with TT kit will lose. It's not like the Z is unstopable . I'm saying this because i have a Greddy TT kit on my Z. Just becareful.. "You win some you lose some".

Even as a bad driver you couldn't have lost to a grand am. You sure it wasn't a GTO....they look very similar

either way, your story was well said and it is easy to see he got the jump seconds before you decided to open up. It wasnt you, it wasnt the Z, it wasnt even a fair race. Rest assured nothing to worry about. Dam I cant wait for Spring and and I cant wait for my Z!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh

I may have had a glitch in my driving specially attempting to launch after decicing not to race but Im not saying i dont know how to drive. Beleive me I do know but i do admit of not settign up right. For soem reason i was more mad at that guy than being concerned with driving.

Zman,

yeah it may have been. Im not into other cars other than Japanese so i wouldnt know. But then I didnt even go al the way to a finish lne i just turned were i had to turn but yeah he was really ahead.

You sure it wasn't a Firebird? Or a Firehawk? WS6 Trans Am's are quick as all hell in the 1/4.

Had to be a Trans Am, not a grand am. He said it had the bird symbol on it. No shame in losing to a trans am, definately shame in losing to a grand am though.

He also said the other car was all "spooled up" already. This guy doesnt sound very knowledgable-not the kind of person that should be going FI IMO....stop watching 2 Fast 2 Furious not all cars have turbo's....

Alberto,

In the first place Im not a kid watching F2F all the time or thinking what I shouldnt. Im an airline pilot and may not be mechanicaly inclined like many on this board when it comes to cars but it doesnt generate the need for a comment like that from you.

Second of all Im using 2 computers and on one im chatting with some people about TT kits and I meant to say reving up and not spooling up i guess you can tell by my first post on this thread i may have been paying attention to somehting else too and may have mixed my thoughts.

And there is a first to everything or a first time for everyone. Im sure everyoen here with F/I were once first time F/I people.

Sorry man, I assumed you were a young kid by the way you described the situation-and the turbo being spooled on the GrandAm. I doubt anybody could confuse a Grand Am with a Trans Am, most likely you raced a GTO-350hp-400hp, so your loss isnt as bad as you might think. Read up, do your homework and you'll have a nice FI experience, as a recent FI club member I must say you will have fun....
