I'm not sure what can be accomplished by reading X vs Y threads on here. Find a shop that knows what they are doing and you'll be in good shape.

If you mean out of box ZERO tuning..heres the numbers:

Greddy 5.6 PSI out of box: 355-370 RWHP
Turbonetics 8 PSI out of box: 365-380 RWHP

The only thing I could say is get a chance to ride in a car equipped with both setups and see what you like best..I had a customer I brought over to Greddy East, what was given a ride in the actual Greddy car they use for promotions, by Mr Yoshira, the GM of that location..He was really cool and answered all of my customers questions..IMO a Single turbo and Twin turbo perform VERY different on the road.

Can the greddy be boosted to 8psi? if so will it be safe without built internals?

Yes, but you need a lot of extras to get to that point safely. I know that Technosquare has an 8psi reflash for the greddy tt that people have been running safely for a long time now.

Coming from a greddy owner running 9psi, fuel return, Emanage ultimate, blah blah.....I wouldn't say I'd go greddy again if I had the chance......The turbonetics would have cost me A WHOLE LOT less than how much I've already put into the greddy kit and given me almost the same amount of power. I haven't riden in a single turbo G/Z but I'd imagine the spool up isn't that dramatic. I guess I went with the greddy kuz it was sposed to spool up a tad faster and to say i have TT. I dunno, these cars are damn expensive to mod. Look at Taurren, he has a few more hp than I do and I'm running 9psi. He probably paid a lot less than I did as well. lol

The greddy has a bit more linear power deliver than the ST, but with the ceramic ball bearing turbo, you hit full boost in the lower 3k range anyway. The power delivery of the ST slams you back and is more of a kick in the nuts, though.

The greddy kit is capable of some amazing power with the right upgrades, but for low boost on a budget, it's hard to beat a ST. The ST kits also typically put down more impressive tq #s than the TT's at the same hp.

I concur that the power is pretty linear on my car. At 9psi I can run it through all the gears fine on 275 rears. 1st gear gets kinda squiry at the end but nothing a gear change can't help. If you plan on staying at around 400rwhp like I do then I'd deff. go with the ST. I had to pay a lot for extra stuff that didn't come with the greddy kit. I don't regret going greddy but if I were to do it again, I woulda gone with the Turbonetics for sure with bigger injectors, boost controller, diff. engine management. Turbonetics also has a tuner system coming out if it's not already out...That's what I woulda done and just buy the parts I want.

Yes its true you have to waste a little to make it safe but nothing out of this world i paid for my greddy kit 6100 flat and i got the turbo kit, intercooler, autosport wiring, greedy BOV with flange and fuel pump. The autosport is 300 dollars but if you dont get it they will have to cut your wires to connect the e-manage and they will charge you like 200 to 300 dollars for doing so so i thought about it and its better to buy since you will have to pay for it still and your OEM wiring wont get cut up.

But yes if you do plan on staying with a small tune out of the box setting then yes turbonetics is for you but if you want power twins is a better choice. Now the only thing you have to do is think on what your goals are many people say o yea i just want 400rwhp at the end they got a built motor and boosting 15 pounds. Good luck in your choice and hope that you like the outcomes.
