Then when you go to shift, the rpm's will be higher than if you had longer or stock gearing, so you'll stay right there in the peak torque range with the vortech
having a light clutch will make you drive a few rpm's higher than normal and many people are now raising the idle to around 1000 rpms with vortechs. To me it sounds like a winning combination for balance where all the parts work together.
You can always make more power with the vortech also, just get some cams, headers, smaller pulley etc, and maybe eventually a built engine and bigger blower
the turbo will be way more fun driving normal though.

the 3.91 does not make the engine generate more torque so it won't show up on a dyno.
It's the same thing that at 6600 rpms in 1st gear, the engine puts out as much power as being in other gears at 6600 rpms, yet we all know that lower gears give you more oomph and accelleration. That's what the 3.9 gears do. Yes I have them, but they don't show up on a dyno chart unless you set the graph up to read power over speed instead of power over rpms

Some people like the hood. I do for sure and I have built TT set-ups on Z's and G's, yet used to have Stillen Stage 3 set-ups. As for the Stillen power and reliability, it is great for what it is. Still own one but is sitting on a shelf.

I have a procharger, borla tru dual, pro-1 cats, AAM ecu, tune and plenum......i dyno'd 363whp and 306 lbs. or tq. on a dyno jet, i will crack 400 this spring..... stillens a goods kit if your lookin for a more conservative kit, i personally think they are expensive and the numbers aren't great, i dont think the hood is ugly, its just more money your forced to spend, i think the vortech is a great kit....... with mods the power will come.... there is def. alot more people on this board with vortech's then prochargers....... id say vortech or procharger.... i think out of the box....... procharger is good but def needs a good tune......

Id put a vote in for Procharger with your choice of piggyback. I have seen some crazy numbers from this kit. Show me 1 Vortech auto or manual that can run 12.3 @ 113mph-like a 360who auto Procharged car did on street tires and I may change my mind. Ive also seen a 500+whp Procharger set-up!

ok
I haven't noticed a loss in torque in the upper rpm's. Just a gain across all rpms with the only disadvantage is you have to shift sooner

If you plan on modding you motor and want to spin more boost from a supercharger then Procharger is the way to go. The blower is rated for 80,000rpm's and I've spun mine near 100,000rpm's with no trouble. Call Vortec and ask them how fast they can spin the 350Z model. I'm sure you'll find it just can't be spun as fast.
