Lost traction and hit the wall....
I went to LACR tonight and traction was horrible, I had to get out of it on the first run.
Second run started off better but right after I hit 4th my car started loosing traction and started fishtailing, first to the left and the to the right.
I literally went over the finsih line sideways traking both sensors (left lane 12.8 at 96 mph and right lane 13.1) unfortunately I swirled against the wall, after that I got control back.
thank god I am ok and the car is as well, except I will need a new rear bumber and right rear lights.
It was very cold tonight in Palmdale and I guess the track was just too cold. Every car running faster than 13's had to gert out of it, I just got out a fraction of a second too late...
Be careful out there...

Holy smokes....glad you survived. Any pics of the damage? You must have really done some exceptional driving to save yourself from total disaster. I imagine you were sliding around at about 115mph or so??

thanks guys.
I got a very good deal on the replacement parts from Performance Nissan.
It was a very scary experience and I can tell I am very proud of myself being able to get control back of the car. A friend took a video but ran out of memory right when I lost control so you don't see much.
I'm also lucky that the Civic I was racing was very slow otherwise this could have gotten very ugly

wow, ya that can make ya have to change your trunks when your done. glad to see your fine and the car just had very simple damage. just to remind everyone, insurance won't cover ya at the track!!! whats that saying from that older movie w/ burt reynolds, "you better either wreck or win!!!" looks like you followed tradition and did both also, lol. what tires are you running? whats your boost or rwhp?

I got very lucky but I have to also say that driving experience played a big part in me getting out ok, I didn't panic, stayed calm and tried my best to get the situation under control.
Once I got off the track and people started runing towards me making sure I was ok that's when the shakes started...
In terms of video as I said before we have the run but the camera ran out of memory right when I lost control. I will upload it once I get it but you don't see much.
