Exclamation ok, the technicalities are all in, now HOW ABOUT SOME PICTURES, lmao

I have learned a lot from this thread and all but my UTEC will be here Tuesday and I would like to see some pics.

Where should I put it, I like the idea of putting it beside the butt warmers, but the stealthier position would be beside the vdc control, right? Opinions?

At 543whp I've had a couple of scary experiences on the freeway while passing and weaving in and out of traffic........down shift, smash the gas, I start passing and switching lanes, car hits full boost, and tires start spinning at 80mph while switching lanes. One time I fished tailed it going 90mph, but luckily I recovered. Yes it was my fault, but I am human just like everyone else. For whatever reason, I was fuking off, jamming the radio, or day dreaming, and I almost lost control of my car. If I had a map for daily driving (350-380whp) the chance of that happening would decrease.
I think I would leave my VDC on and drive within the limits of my car.

I'm interested in the Utec for the valet setting and for 91 octane tuning for when I travel to Canada. I'm with Jet; I wouldn't be switching it around.

You know, theres a reason for why boost controllers come w/ different settings that you can switch to on the fly. My buddy has the Blitz DCII and has 4 different boost settings for different occasions, like daily driving, racing, etc. Rolling around on 550 hp all the time isnt really practical if you have the option to do say, 350-400 hp and could switch to whatever you needed when you wanted.

Just my $0.02

Who said you have to drive around utilizing 550 hp. Does your friend accelerate full throttle from every stop light or sign? No.... of course not. Your gas pedal controls how much power and boost your engine makes. The tuning only sets the maximum power for a given octane. It doesn't meean you need to utilize 100% power all the time.

Jet,

No disrespect but when you get your car tuned to 500+whp then tell me how well your right foot works. From 385whp to 550whp there is a big difference. Controlling the power and boost with your right foot isn't a walk in the park at higher boost and power levels. The car is just fuking silly past 450whp.

Not only that... its EXTREMELY helpful for autocrossing... ENORMOUS benefit being able to adjust boost mapings differently for courses and tires

weather is nice too lol
