Exclamation UTEC stuff, will someone that has pics of the map selector mounted post your pics

I need to have ideas on where to mount it and if someone can tell me exactly how it works that would be awesome. Also, I am buying a boost solenoid to control the boost for each map. I need some quality pics, please, and maybe some ideas for the maps, I want to utilize all 5. My ideas are:

1. 5 psi, everyday driving (i bought a 5 lb. spring for the wastegate)
2. 8 psi, stoplight races
3. 9.5 psi, in case they beat me on the first stoplight
4. 9.5 psi, race fuel, dragging time
5. ???, not sure, my 380cc's are going to be at the end of efficiency at this point for additional boost.

I also bought and am awaiting install of: motordyne 5/16 isothermal, NGK iridiums one step colder, rsr dual exhaust, and of course all of the utec goodies.

thanks for all of the help

That doesn't make any sense. You build MAPS according to the ocatane you are using not the driving situation. What are you trying to accomplish by having 3 different MAPS for the same octane?

I am a novice when it comes to tuning so be gentle, lol. I thought tuning at each boost level would be beneficial, the rest was theatrical at best. I thought I would tune each boost level to be safe and perhaps pick up a few horsepower at each boost.

He's asking for a location to mount the remote MAP switch.

You're right foot is the boost controller. You build a MAP for a given octane.

I also chose the map selector because I purchased the boost solenoid as well, maybe that is where the confusion is coming from.
Thanks

nothing wrong with that idea, but you'll probably end up driving around on the highest boost setting all the time after you get used to the car.

Are you adjusting boost independant of a MAP, or do you have MAP's built for each level of boost?

I'm not understanding why anyone would do this!!!

I think people just do it to not wear out the engine so much. Since you have boost you are going to step on it eventually but if you have it on 3.5 you hit boost but not really nothing that would cause strees on the engine and you have a little kick for fun on the streets. Thats what im planning on doing hopefully

That's what the accelerator was put in the car for. A little gas = a little boost = go a little fast. A lot of gas = a lot of boost = go really fast. Am I missing something. What problem are you trying to solve with lowering boost. Again.... what you are trying to do doesn't make sense.
