Default GM400 Adapter Plate - BRANDNEW!!

As promised, we are slowly releasing products developed by our Race Team. The Adapter Plate allows you to bolt in with no modifications a GM400 (3spd) Automatic Transmission. This is the same setup used in our Street Tire Car, where Andrew Rubio completed a 1/4mile in 8.33@176mph. Like the Supra, eventually everyone will be slapping in a GM400/Powerglide Tranny to run some truly sick times. Its a tried and true method, and is only for the serious drag racer. If you would like to place an order or have any questions please do not hesitate to give me a call.

The Kit Includes:
-Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel
a.Stepped dowel pins
b.Crank trigger (OE)
c.OE Starter Gear
-Transmount
-Adapter Plate
-Hardware Kit
-Adjustment Block

Thanks Again,
Nick

like he said, this is for a turbo 400 tranny. AKA a drag racing tranny. 3 speeds, probably high stall, not really streetable.

do you have any experience with drag racing or equipment like this? It would make for an extremely unpleasant daily driver.

so why would you replace the stock trannsmision for drag racing? This sounds liek the stupidest ****ing thing to make considering the z's tranny si solid as a rock even on cars that are 800+, You shoulda made this plate for cars that need them, like the subaru wrx's that blow up at 270 hp :laughy: or the evo which has drivetrain problems!

it is a matter of the tranny holding it up, it a matter of faster times

A properly prepared Turbo 400 or Powerglide can hold 2000 HP.

This would be really interesting with a 4L80E in there.

I think the 4L80E with this plate would be worth a look for auto Z's that need the extra power holding compacity while still wanting to drive it on the street.

And you know that how???
Pretty uneducated statement it is. You clearly know zilch about this car. We went through 2 auto trannies with ~430whp.

g356gear,
lol @ fountain of knowledge

Nick,
I don't think you remember me, but I spoke with you about a year ago about upgrading our auto tranny. Glad to see this project coming along.

Also, I echo dyezak, there's a real need for streetable tranny, preferably 4 or more speed that will hold ~450-500wtq daily and will have service parts readily available. This is exactly the reason I'm not going FI on my daily driver.

I heard these trannies sap a lot of hp dyno #'s wise, but they do better down the 1/4...how much is this set up? Just curious I would NEVER get an auto even if it is faster than a well driven manual I love banging gears too much.

the 700r4 could be bolted up to that housing too. but the mount would be different. tons of them out there and they can be built up pretty high (not quite as much as the glide or 400turbo though) just give you the nice overdrive if you still cruise the street alot.
now just out of curiousity, do you guys have a solution for guys still running the factory ecu with this trans swap? speedo conversion, and the like. or is it going to be for all out racing and standalone ecu's?

For guys running big power, the stock gearing is toped out before you hit the 1/4 mile mark... Plus you want to stay in your gear a little longer so you can take advantage of your powerband... All the supras running sick quatermile times are running a similar set up....

PS why are you comparing AWD with RWD

Just to let you know, the turbo400 trans, must be shifted into each gear (optional 3 or 4 speed overdrive). You dont just put it in drive and mash the pedal, so you still can bang out each gear.

KIT PRICE = $1700.00

Thanks,
Nick

P.S.

I just wanted to thank all of you guys that have a clue in the industry. Its difficult as a Sponsor to reply to unfounded comments. I knew if I gave it just one day, you guys would take care of it for me.

Good Looking Out!

Peace,
Nick
