Default Max. EGT ?

How high can I let my EGT go without danger to my stock pistons ?

I'm measuring at test pipe-level. I have Ceramic coated headers.

Thanks

I wouldn't want to see more than 750F at the test pipe. That's pretty far from the turbine oultet, and not the best place to measure it.

That can't be right, running up to 1600F right now. The ceramic coating on the headers won't let too much heat out...

Where is the EGT Sensor Located?

A few inches are a big difference on a EGT

Also add what your parts and tune are.

As far I remember, the EGT sensor is right after the ceramic headers in the test pipe. Please see my sig for my mods (CryO2 system was not running).

Thanks

You must have confused °Fahrenheit with °Celsius. 750°C would sound about right in this context, 850°C is commonly considered acceptable when measured directly at the header inlet.
