Blessing in disguise!
I wanted to put this story up because I think that the final product is going to be phenomenal!! Some of you know me and what happened to me and my last car, but for those of you who don't here goes.
I bought a Le Mans Sunset that had a Greddy TT on it however the install was nt done well and the engine blew after 550 miles of me driving it. Needless to say the seller was less than cooperative and to this day has not attempted to mek things right. The car sat at my house under a car cover for almost a year and a half while I saved money to rebuild the engine right.
Last summer I was able to start the process and that is when I found this forum. I spoke with Shariff and he was a HUGE help!! I ended up buying an SGP block so I could have the car I wanted. Found a local shop to do the install of the block and all the stuff I bought from Shariff. The shop was Corner3 and they did a great job, when it was built I took it to Church Automotive and he tuned it for 505 rwhp and 495 torque. The car was awesome. I broke it in for about a thousand miles and everything was great. I had plans to go to a Buttonwillow the Saturday after Thanksgiving and really put it to the test.
Then DISASTER....I was on my way to work on Monday before Thanksgiving, and for some reason I decided to drive my baby to work. ABout 30 seconds from the parking lot, someone pulled out in front of me and I had to swereve to miss him, the car slid sideways and would not correct. I hit a pole on the passenger side where the door closes. Needless to say the car was totalled. I took the insurance money and ran....straight to another 350Z.
This one is red and I decided I would take it slow on the mods this time. Well that lasted all of a week and I found Michael at VRT and figured what the hell I will get this one built even better.
I will post pics of the old Z and keep everyone updated on the new one. My new baby is at VRT right now, and once I have pics throughout the process I will get those up as well.
I just thought that you guys would like to hear the story of what is going on. I have to say that if you are going to have work done on your 350 then I would definately go with VRT! Complete one stop shop. I also wanted to thank Shariff for all the help he gave me starting this process out!
MORE TO COME!
