Greddy owners who are running TT kit on out of box tune and stock boost HELP!
Like it says above. Im getting car back from greddy install soon and im leaving the tune as it comes out of the box and the stock boost. Anyone runnign this same set up have any issues? If you are with out issues or with please let me know. I appreciate it.
Unfortunately, a lot of memebers have damaged their engine with the stock Greddy setup and tune. It's more like a tuner kit, and its missing a few items....namely timing retard, and a better fuel system. Here is a list of the "basics" for safe operation. You could also elect a UTEC over the EU: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156630
In fact, one member literally installed the kit, and drove around the block and the engine blew up at 5.5psi.

I ran mine on the stock boost and stock out of box tune for about 6 months and about 6K miles. Haven't had any problems with the out of box tune, except that it was very rich. However, I would suggest that you tune it, unless your waiting on some breathing mods, then you might want to wait a litte till all is installed and then tune it. I didn't have any problems because I closely monitored my gauges.

Hmmm....Howmuch is the timing retard plus install? Ball park figure? I just want to be able to hit ocassional boost for liek 2-3 months then to major retuning once i get all this other optional mods in to install together at once.
The timing harness from greddy is only about $40. Not sure how much the labor is for it, but shouldn't be much at all. You could just street tune (be really careful though) it a little until you finish your major mods, and then get a real tune on the dyno.
