Default Going to the dark side->APS ST

You guys have been the most informative/helpful bunch~ Although I was leaning towards the turbonetics, I just couldn't accept the price hike that just happened... A great deal on APS ST came out, so I just took it.
Thanks for many inputs and I look forward to get many advices in the future although I went to the dark side~

Jay

Make sure it has all the fixes. I am going to assume APS has included the check valve fix in all their recent kits... but be sure that whoever you bought your kit from confirms the check valve fix is in the box. Or else you are in for some issues.

The seller bought the kit through GRD group buy. Was this recently enough to get all the fixes?

i just installed one from the group buy that had the original check valve. We didn't have any issues with it, though should be aware of the situation.

Who is doing the install? Just make sure they put it on the correct way, and if they are a aps dealer, they may just put the updated checkvalve on during the install.

You'll enjoy the darkness... I noticed, while dropping her off at the bodyshop last night, I've just clocked 26,000 mi. on my APS and she runs fantastic!

Not to say there weren't kinks to work out initially... LOL! But - enjoy it nonetheless!

I drive a lot - well, not so much anymore since I finished my salvage SportTrac and drive that to work now.

That, and the gf and I take freq. trips to San Diego, Vegas, occasionally run up to Idaho... etc. I drive the **** out of that car and love it!

But, yeah - put the turbo on a 24,300 mi in Aug 2005 and turned 50,000 last nite...

Amen, that is what these cars are for, in a month and half, I have put about 2300 miles on mine, and look for every opportunity to drive, lol.

Thanks... I'm installing it in South Korea, so probably no APS dealer here... LOL~ Also thinking about swapping out unichip with UTEC. Will this work? I heard the unichip has a safe tune setup as a default. I just need to plug it in.. Is this correct?
