STI Pink Injectors = 550cc = PE 510cc ?

you can use them - like I said I have both types here (PE 510 and STi pinks) and they are nearly identical. You'll have to get a collar for the top part of the STi injector (aluminum), and the spray pattern is also much different between the 2, but it should work

You bring up a good point about the spray pattern being different. Doesn't the spray pattern usually depend on the angle of the injector compared to the valve?
Cheston, you might want to send one of each to one of the injector companies for comparison.

flow pattern is dependent on air passage into the combustion chamber, fuel pressure, angle, and injector interior.
these will work just fine. Even if they're off slightly what PE normally sprays. i'm more interested in if i can find collars @ McMaster to make this a normal drop in set for others...

some friday afternoon project stuff:
removal of the PE380cc injectors that were on the car, to compare the differences between them and the JDM sti pinkies.
Comparison between the JDM STI, Stock 350Z, and PE380cc
what comes with the PE380cc
the parts installed
the collars that make the JDM STI pinks fit:
i took measurements of everything using a digital caliper and i think i can get most of the parts from McMaster-Carr.. woot woot. can we say low-cost alternative? yes we can!
more updates soon....

Here are some pictures of the PE (Denso) 510cc injectors. Sorry for the quality, I badly need a better camera for those detail shots. Or more skill.
These were the hard shots, because of glare and focus. As you should be able to see, these have 8 holes vs. the suby 12 I believe? and of course a different pattern.

So I am using the pe regulator, since it's a nice one and has been very consistent. Ibought an Aeromotive one, but havent put it in yet. Debating on whther to just open up the PE one and shim the spring to get close to 4bar fuel pressure, instead of the current 3 bar. don't know we'll see. Then, after the reg, i have a fat -8AN line going all the way to the rails, before which it splits into two -6AN. AAM rails (I used Phunk's, it's a nice one, and includes the requisite fire sleeve). The rest you see in the above pic. I jumpered to two rails together, jsut to make sure the fuel is equalized amongthe two. Right before the rd-side rail, I have a fuel pressuretrasducer that goes into my innovate data management chain for logging/viewing.
HTH
EDIT: the o-rings...i am prestty sure you can get them from Nissan, i think they are the same size.
