Default Anybody running speed density with UTEC or EU ?

Hi,

I think the best features of UTEC and EU is that they both let the user to run his/her car in speed density mode by eliminating maf.
Are there anyone around that is using this with their cars?
What do you use to get intake temperature signal to the ECU? Another sensor? W

ould like to hear how u find it.

Cheers

Both units run a speed density system under boost (MAP based). At idle and cruise, the stock ECU uses the MAF signal to run the engine. There is no reason to eliminate the MAF, per se, as its not used for tuning, and provides very little restiction in the intake track.

It's clamped with both the UTEC and UTEC, as well as the SS box and Unichip. They all clamp them at 5.0V or lower.
