Default Vortech Feelin Kinda Slow @8psi

I finally got everything up and running, car feels decent I guess, running 7-8psi at redline. Honestly feels more like 330whp than 370-400.

I raced my buddys G35 that makes 295whp and we were neck and neck until about 5000-5500 RPM where I started to pull.
Kinda dissapointed and I kinda wished I went Turbonetics.

I am thinking that maybe my exhaust is restricting me. I have Stillen headers test pipes, topspeed y pipe with stock exhaust. What do you guys think?

I think that you should have been firm in your goals and based on that chosen the kit that would most definitely get you there.......

good luck man

Well I have seen most members at 400whp with the 3.12 pulley and my car really does not feel like 400whp, if it is then, damn, I need 500whp lol

Was it dyno tuned by Technosquare.. If not what you need is Dyno tuning to get the most you can get out of it safely..

lemme tell ya.. I'm appreciating my blower a lot right now... I've been driving around with my SC unhooked the past week (due to badly worn pulley) and there is a huge diff LOL

I really miss the boost..

lol
Ok guys I know turbo can be faster,
but I got my tuner kit for $3300 which is why I didnt get turbo, plus I installed the kit myself, I will be happy with a 110mph trap so the vortech should do just fine, I just have to get it running right I guess?

I ordered the Borla TD, so I will update once I get my car retuned with the exhaust

If your hitting 7 or 8psi , 320 to 350whp is about right .

That's because of the lack of torque compared to the TT cars. You don't hit 8psi until redline, where as a TT 350Z will hit that 3000rpms sooner. You probably have 100ft/lbs less torque than a TT.

you can always get some 3.9 gears and a light weight clutch which will give you more gear toque and get you to the vortech's torque faster

not sure if you have headers or a plenum, those would boost some torque

hahaha every post seems to turn into a battle on what kits better, back to the point, I would get it on the dyno and see where it is at power wise, this will also help to see if you have any belt slippage issues.
