The turbo in the kit should flow out to low 500s easily...

I think you missed an oil change somewhere, or ran low on oil, and that starvation caused you to throw the rods. Other than that, it doesn't just decide to throw a rod when you're driving normally if you didn't screw anything up.

longevity isn't the argument here. I could go on all day on how you can treat a motor right, boost it, still maintain it properly, and not have one issue with it. Issues come up when normal maintenance is ignored.
Well let me see boss like I said before I babied my z, oil changes twice a month checked the oil more then twice a day checked as much as I could. this is not my first turbo car. I think you can reframe from lecturing me on basic need to do maintenance. go ahead and do normal maintenance on your boosted z if you think that's all you need. and when something goes wrong I promise it was more then just your oil change.

if you know so much, why are you letting him charge you like this ?

Nismo Fuel regurater US$270.00
If you knew so much, you'd know you can buy 2 nismo FPRs from almost anyone for like $210.

Just an example.

You changed your oil TWICE a MONTH??

Whatever the case, good luck with the rebuild. I'll be going the T-netics route also (stage 1.5... when's it coming MIA?!) and eventually doing internals. Let us know how it goes.

P.S. That guy is RAPING YOU on those prices man! Shop around.

Even with an EMS and a the best tune it doesn't mean chit. I have the EU with all harnesses and bs needed to run the system safely. My car was tuned by one of the best VQ shops in the United States, SGP. The car was tuned in TX and it ran like a monster and felt like it came like that from Infiniti. When I got back to Miami the almost 40 degree increase in temps fuked up my tuned. No more POS piggy back engine managent systems for me......12 more days till I go HKS V-Pro!

We are not talking about a 10 degree increase in my case.....it's was a 49 degrees in Houston and it's 90 degrees in Miami. That''s why my car is running like chit. It is so rich at certain loads it bogs. The EU does not compensate for temp changes and neither does the Unchip. If SGP poorly tuned cars they wouldn't be a "GOD ALL MIGHTY" APS authorized shop. you're such a tool.

Wow I guess you better go cry to Peter and tell them that SGP does not know how to tune car. They should remove SGP as an APS authorized dealer immediately. Also I guess APS doesn't know how to tune cars either. I have read about APS owners going lean with the out of the box tune in colder wheather......obviously a poor tune.

I didn't say SGP didn't know how to tune. what I am saying is, your tune was not adequate for your setup. You're tuner should have accounted for the difference in temps and tuned accordingly.

A proper custom tune is preferred to a somewhat generic reflash or out of box tune
