Now your ET and MPH make a lot of sense to me Jason. You ran ran an 11.60@120 with 10 psi whereas the APS TT car I saw run at the strip ran an 11.20 something @ 127 MPH at 12 PSI. By the way when you you plan to run your Z again at the strip?

you don't have the faintest clue, do you, of what kind of power that is when you're making almost double the power to the wheels that you did stock.

you're not going to get any traction in at least the first two gears with street tires, that's a fact.

Mickey Thompson Street Radials mounted on 16" Weld Pro-Star XPs are your best bet .... next in line would be the same tires on a set of Pontiac Gram-Am/Prix wheels w/ some spacers

This is the best you'll do in a street radial, dot legal, street racing setup

if you want to lower the car ... invest the $250 in the SPC camber and toe kit. Set the camber to -1.0 or less and run ~0.05 of toe just to keep it comfy (I found 0.00 toe to be squirrely) ... you'll hook, I promise

good luck,
jim

Just clicked that APS was in australia, lol.
And here i was thinkin it was a hella expensive kit (from US to AU conversion) and i had to get it shipped.

I'd recommend you have a good look for sure. That way you will see that the APS twin turbo system has the more complete fuel system, bigger GT series ball bearing turbos, larger air to air intercooler and a thoroughly engineered plug and play engine management system.

If you really don't have a clue, and really haven't experienced what 450-500 whp feelsl like, I'd stay off a TT kit altogether and get off the attitude of trying to race faster STIs and VWs. You don't sound mature enough to handle a TT'd car and seriously we don't need another dead person on these forums, nor do we need more dead innocent bystanders.

While I haven't driven my car on anything other than Drag Radials with the turbos..I got a chance to drive GRD's shop car that's making just over 500whp @ 11lbs of boost and is running a 285 BFG KDW tire on the back. in 80 degree weather the car got slight spin in first and hooked completely in second gear, so traction on street tires in a twin turbo Z is definitely attainable with the right setup.

Id consider him a good driver-more than I can say for most on these boards. He now has a 460rwhp APS TT car-with 430rwhp he cut a 1.7 60ft on slicks, and ran 11.7 @ 120mph. Very impressive indeed, but not mid to low 11's. Im not saying its nt possible for an APS T Tcar to run mid to low 11's on a stock block and 93 oct-just that I havent seen it, and it is very unlikely, like I said before if somebody pulled it off they are 99.5 percentile, do you disagree? If you do, you just $hit on 99% of the members of this forum...

My ears were ringing....

I'm not going to make any predictions about what I will run this spring with my current setup...but it should be a bit better than my old time, for more reasons than just power. My goal is to beat Jason@MRC to the 10s on a stock motor, pump gas, daily driven 350Z, but I'm going to need more than 460whp...
