as for your second comment

so? its an 8 cyl whats the differance? aside from 2 more cylinders and 3 less cams there isnt a differance brainiac. rods are rods. all gas powered engines (aside from the rotary ) work off the same idea. the fact that its a v6 or a v8 or even a 4 cylinder has nothing to do wth it.

1150whp on a 6 cylinder is approximately 190whp per cylinder. 1150whp on an 8 cylinder is approximately 143whp per cylinder. That is quite a difference.

Less stress per rod, as the HP stresses are distributed along each rod. I would imagine the stress on a rod in a 500HP 4 cylinder would be much higher than a 500HP 8 cylinder?

EDIT: He beat me to it.

i guess you guys didnt read my whole post talking about my 1100 hp car.
we can all look right under my post and discuss my friends 1700 hp nova if you would like. he uses eagles too.. i think he has a little more stress on his per cylinder than a one of the above mentioned v6's

oh and i almost forgot.... we spin our engines to 9000 rpm. not 7100

this can go on all day long.

fact of the matter is the eagles are just as strong and possibly even stronger..you spend your money on your 1000+ dollar rods and ill spend half the money on mine. ill use the 500 i save and buy bigger valves. and have a motor with more power, same money or less invested, and just as reliable

pay the extra if you want. but dont pay it for pauters that arent no better than eagles. if you are going to spend money then go with the big boys and use carillo or callies. and no pauter is nowhere in their league

Wow..the fact that you are spinning them up to 9000 rpm is very impressive. I really don't know what more evidence ppl need to be convinced.
