Default Raptor BOV Question

My question is about the sound my BOV is making. Under spirited acceleration I hear a ssssshhhhhhh sound then when I let off the accelerator I hear a louder PSSSSHHHHHH sound. Is that normal? I thought you shouldn't hear any sound from the BOV until you let off the gas then it releases the excess gas. I have the adjustment screw all the way in so it should be holding the boost, right??

That SSSSHHHHHH is the turbo spooling...or should be...can you make a sound clip? It sounds like everything is fine though..

Are you certain the shhhhhh sound isn't the normal sound of the turbo spooling up? The TN kits make a lot of induction noise, which I like.

you shouldn't have adjusted that screw AT ALL from how it came in the box.......

if you have it adjusted all the way in, you need to unscrew it a bit! You could cause some major compressor surge with the setting that tight.

I guess it could be from the induction noise. It is noticably audible but I really don't have another Z or G to cmpare it to with a similiat set up. My boost gauge is showing that I am holding boost. I guess if it was leaking the needle would drop under acceleration. If you guys are hearing the same thing then I guess it is normal.

If you are holding a solid 8-8.5 PSI from 3200-3800 RPMs to redline its not a leak..

Just looked at my BOV and noticed that the outer port (closes to logo and drivers quarter panel) is routed to my upper plenum. OK I pretty sure that is correct. BUT there is another port right next to it (closest to engine) that is empty. I looked in the port and there is a small hole. Should that hole be plugged or is it suppose to be like that???
