Seriously, horsepower limit with the APS kit?
APS is rolling out their new fuel system and it started me thinking; Who's making big horsepower with the APS kit(players with upgraded turbos not included)? I'm stuck at 563whp with an AAM fuel system, big exhaust, built motor and cams. I keep hearing it's capable of 800whp. Anybody making over 600 with the stock turbos? Even with the Forge wastegate actuators and heavier springs, I couldn't sustain over 17lbs. of boost....
What's it take? Water/methanol injection? Even bigger injectors?
Thanks,
Bruce

Im sorry but there seems to be alot of "Claims" by APS and what alot of people don't know is that at one point APS was not APS but some other company that was making turbo kits for cars like the Camaro I believe and went out of business because alot of them blew up. Not saying that this is how they are now because they do have a great reputation and make great parts. However, they do seem to make some claims that are not proven. Not saying not possible, but not proven and if they are proven they generally take more work than some of the other kits out there take.
If you examine just the theoretical flow charts, the APS turbos are good for 800 crank hp worth of air, which is probably near 700whp. Of course, theory is just one component. The APS might over or under-deliver these numbers, based on a whole host of other factors. Intake, cans, headwork, exhuast, etc...all play a major role in net power production.
I too, am curious if anyone has achieve the magical 700whp with the APS kits, as measured in a dynojet.

Weld the actuators shut and throw external gates on there
I have seen a single GT2871R with a .48 a/r turbine side boost spike up to 43.8 psi according to the Profec E-01 ... once realized, the E01 was tossed and ran straight wastegate at 21 psi all day long on the dyno.

Dave Inal ripped off a bunch of people in the LS1 community and he now works for APS. The good thing is he is not the CEO or in any position where he can rip people off.

Just so everyone knows in no way am I down grading APS. I have looked into getting an APS TT or ST and that was my orignal intention before I got my NCR custom single turbo kit (kicks self in the a$$). I do feel that a few things are over priced but I feel that things such as their TT and ST are very good quality for the price.

My car is at 650rwhp right now @14 psi on 100 octane with the aps kit and built motor. I just droped it off for a retune on 109 octane so will see what happens. I still have stock fuel rails, stock plenium, and 2.5 inch daul exhaust.
