Default Forge Actuators on APS TT Kit

If you are running the Forge Actuators with your APS TT kit, please let me know if you used the Green or Yellow springs, about how much actuator rod preload you set, and what your minimum boost is.

I was able to change the actuators in a customer's car without taking out the engine or turbos or anything.

The guy at Forge recommended I used the yellow springs with a little preload for a min boost of 9psi. But we also are increasing the exhaust size on this car. The last thing I want is to put this all back together and end up with a min of 14psi or something.

I would prefer the car to run 8-9min and be able to go up to 14psi. It will be very costly for the customer if I have to do this twice, so I am looking to see what other people have done and achieved with these components.

If a shop installed it for you and you are unsure of what springs and preload, please let me know which shop did it for you so that I can contact them.

Thanks.

GRD did mine. They were supposed to be 12psi min, but they're more like 9psi min, so I guess I got the yellow ones. Try asking Tuan.

We installed the green springs (5-10psi) on one APS TT car, and tightened the rod down almost all the way. Achieved about 8.5psi. I would go with the yellow springs, which are 9-15psi, and tighten the rod about halfway, if you are looking for about 11-12psi.

Nice, that should give you about 9-10psi, I reckon.

Per side..We achieved almost 21psi at one point with these actuators..We were running consistant 14.5 psi most of the time.

Then there was definately something else causing that. Wasnt this during the time of experimentation with the APS boost control solenoid, triggered with the UTEC?

The yellow Forge spring is a 9-15psi spring, depending on preload. You might see a little bit more with 3.5 inch downpipes and 3 inch exhuast.

We had a custom actuator made from Forged prior to them getting the APS ones in stock..We definitely got a spike whn we played with the APS actuator, which never worked out the way we planned. We saw 21psi on the boost guage and best believe we got out of it FAST!! Whatever the case, the springs in the actuators held 18.5 psi during testing with a manual boost controller..We were getting 12 psi out of the stock actuators just for reference.

I received my Forge Actuators today. They have a circular green sticker on them. I'm assuming this means they have the green springs? I orderered the yellow ones but don't want the hassle of sending them back and waiting for another set (I'm from Aus). Will I be able to run min 9PSI and max 14 PSI with these?
