Default Smelling oil while boosting

Any time I go into boost or even close to it, I smell oil afterwards. I pop the hood and can't find anything. No puddles in the garage either. Ideas?

Thanks

Could just be the turbo..AS long as you are not burning oil (large white clouds of smoke after a HARD run) and you are not leaking any oil I wouldn't worry about it...

That's good.

I've had to add oil but I've had the kit it in the car for 3 months so that's pretty normal from what I've seen. Haven't seen any large white clouds but I haven't been running it too hard either.

Thanks again.

Well you would see the smoke immediately after coming off boost and going to idle or part throttle. If you haven't seen it yet no biggie. And if you aren't dripping you should be fine..

Could be that you are pressurizing the crankcase with blow-by. Check for oil/vapor coming out of the dipstick tube.

My old Fiat sprayed mist out of the tube on the dyno, but it had three broken pistons.

The crank case vent is run to the intake tract pre-turbo and I've checked all my intake tract as recent as two weeks ago (20k miles boosted) no signs of oil AT ALL. No where in the charge piping, upper or lower plenum, no where.

Is the crank case vent that little hose and fitting that goes into the compressor? I had a prob with the location of mine running into the nitrile hose connector. I wonder if it's pinched.

ya, i was going to say a compression check may help give some piece of mind, or show the source of the oil smell. i would check it if i were you.
