Hey sharif, I think me/Sam may have found the problem.
He told me there was mildew and water all over one of the harnesses (not sure which one) and It hit me that this has happened the day I washed my car or the day after both times. He said there was lots of water leaking down into that area where the harness is (i guess from the windshield area, not too sure?)
Anyways I hope that's the problem right there but the problem is now what was smoking in the engine and has it damaged anything permanately? (coils specificially).
I don't know what damage the water has done really so for all I know the EU itself, wiring, coils, etc could be damaged.
Keep you guys updated.

Thanks man...I had a feeling it wasnt directly caused by the EU. The smoke was probably a result of one or more coils not firing.

You might want to check the rubber boot that is in the engine compartment where the wiring goes into the cabin, usually you will cut that up a little bit to pass wiring through allowing water to get through or it might have been removed and not sealed up again when reinstalled.

Ya for sure something is going to have to be done about the water getting in there. I'm sure there's no sealant on there if that much water was getting in there. Let's hope everything is good after this!

I had this problem. My car sat for a couple of months and tons of water came in through that whole. I had puddles on the passenger side. I am happy to report no damage to my harness. I even had the problem after the car was running with the EU, but never experienced your problem of coils burning. good luck.

Thanks Gman. Now I sit patiently waiting for my car to come back. I really take my car for granted a lot of the time!

You can always you a silicone to seal connections or even the old trusty electrical tape.

What did the smoke smell like. Burning oil and electric burning are very different and distinctive smells.

Couldn't smell anything really. It wasn't huge smoke but it was coming out the passenger side front. Also when I took off there was a lot of white smoke coming out the exhaust pipes then after I got down the street the smoke/smell of gas went away.

The EU blew 2 coils twice, tossed it and got a Fcon...i found wrong wiring diagrams that Kenji from greddy confirmed was wrong, when he faxed the right instructions over, after that i had a blown ECU somehow, had to get it redone....i dont know how people run that EU.....

Well I hope it's just the water getting in there messing something up. It's weird how it only happens everytime I was my car.....Hopefully that's a dead give away right there!
