Default Hard/Rich Start - 440CC Injectors -Vortech

I've modified the Stock Vortech Fuel System with 440CC Deatschworks Ijectors and a 6 to 1 FMU.

The car runs well, but is a bit hard to start. It starts rich (1-2 seconds) then cleans out and idles good about 700RPM, the AFR fluctuates between 15.1 - 14.5 so I think that the SS box setting in those cells are fine.

Any Educated Ideas.........

Has any thing been done to adjust the SS box or your ECU for the bigger injectors ? You can do either of 2 things . Have Techno Sq. or AAM flash the ECU for the 440's or adjust the SS box numbers on the vacuum side . Either way , your gonna have to retune your fuel map

Hay Booger,
I retuned the SS fuel maps. Idle AFR is 15.1-14.5. Is it possible that it is still to rich, even though AFR is in the correct range?
Thanks

You still need to scale the injectors . If you didnt have TN or AAM flash for the 440's . What are your numbers onthe vacuum side of the fuel map ?

9.4 in just about all the cells on the vacuum side ? My guess would be that the [9.4] isnt the correct number . Or your not getting quite enough air .

I had TN flash mine for the 550's and left my vacuum map alone [ all 10's no change ]

You can go to SplitSeconds web site and there is a file for down load called.....U-tune . That will show you how to scale them correctly with the R4 . You do need a OBD to look at fuels trims though
