New noise with my tranny, maybe the cement truck style clutch/flywheel
I have the JWT clutch and flywheel and have had it for as long as my turbo now I guess around 6500 miles or so. As I lift my clutch with no throttle I can hear a clanging noise very faint. Also, the clutch doesn't appear to be slipping, rather I know it isn't slipping. Anyone have an opinion on this, or has anyone experienced it before?
thanks

the flywheel will chatter from day #1. the flywheel will also chatter from idle up til certain rpms (usu ~2500).
maybe you're hearing the clutch plates grabbing?
It's tough to say...when I imagine "clanging" i imagine something BANGING on metal.
maybe a few more details?

I thought it may be the clutch plates grabbing, but why the new unusual noise level? I am hoping to see no difference in performance.
More detail.
Much lower rpms around 1k-1200 rpm the noise is more audible, I am certain it may be the clutch plates engaging, but just being safe.

I have the clutch master stage 4 clutch and light weight flywheel right now and it has always made that noise when I do not engage the clutch pedal. I think someone told me it was the one piece lightweight flywheel making the noise because it doesn't have a floater plate like the stock clutch assembly.
