Cool...No harm in giving constructive Criticism.

Looking for a great Video Editor! Are you down? Feeling your use of Crystal Method...Vegas!

PM and lets talk. Do you have Final Cut Pro?

M

And

RageWoRX

What kind of management are you running ? Split Second.

Also how do you think your 6MT is holding up to that kind of power and TQ?
Tranny is fine, not really any issues...Also not drag racing the car...Only daily driving and Road Racing.

I noticed you said more voltage to the fuel pump (singular ?) so are you using a BAP type of system. Walbro 255 pump..Will need more with an FMU ( boost fuel pressure regulator)

IMPORTANT:
THIS PROJECT IS FOR AN ARTICLE...Excuse me for not disclosing all the details.

I was there today and watched this run ... Hot $hit! This car is INSANE! It's like watching them Dyno a damn NASCAR. It reaches peak power so unbelievably fast. The impression I got from Jim, Clark and Mark B. was that there's still more HP & Torque to come from this car tomorrow. I'll be there!

PS ... Mike, seriously, you gotta knock off the 100-mph burnout's.

i would think the car would idle like dick with no return line...either that, or the computer is fine-tuned like a motherfuker. i have a split second ARC2 on my VR-4 with 720s and it idles nicely, but i have a return line and good pressure numbers. before i installed the return line and was using the stock return, i couldn't get my fuel pressure down low enough and it didn't run well.

what's your base fuel pressure? what is stock base fuel pressure? what is your engine idle speed?

what does the car make on pump gas?

which split second device are you using and what kinds of capabilities does it have?

I'm glad to see someone is making these cars insane...I want to see them shove the Supra over as the new dyno/highway king.

oh yeah...where are you getting the 180mph speedo from? What car is it from? Got any pictures?

-Chris

oh yeah...definitely get that video in another format...my quicktime won't show it (i can hear it)...anyone else having that problem?

Chris,

Please understand we are still working on this project. I plan to have a complete write-up on exactly what was used when we get all settled. BTW, we started this project to do a 1000 HP (Crank) / Daily Drivers article with Sports Compact. This VQ35, with a Supra 2JZ, and Skyline RB 26. All Daily Driven Cars is the TRICK here. And believe it or not the car doesn't stall at lights and idles great. NO BS!

The 1000 HP Daily Drivers - Article should be finished soon, according to Jay at Sports Compact Magazine. So PLEASE UNDERSTAND if I do not disclose everything, all parts, process, and more.

IF I DID Sports Compact will not have a story and thats NOT COOL.

M

This is a pict at Calspeedway with the car, will be driving her at Spring Moiuntain this weekend. She makes 505 WHP/560 torque on pump at 10 PSI. We haven't pushed more than that yet sure we can tune her for 600 WHP on 91 octane at 14 PSI with Very Little LAG...

Trust me, I doubt it will be the dyno that breaks this one. She's strong and taking huge boost with no problems.

However, me pushing the car on the track will do the trick if I mis-shift going from 5-6th at 160 and accidently hitting 4th. OUCH...Hate that when that happens and right when you are passing a New ZO6 or a Lambo or Carrera GT.

That will do the trick. As for driving the car, I am a very mellow street driver. Don't have to prove anything with this car on the road, just give her a little gas in 5th and she still breaks loose...LOL Decided no more 100 burnouts on the freeway. Not exactly safe.

At any rate, Thanks Todd and hope all is going well for you and your new enterprise.

M

Damn, that is extremely impressive. I think the results you're getting from these cars is almost unbelievable compared to feedback from other shops. I'm not saying it isn't true, just expect to be met with some disbelief and many questions when you post these kind of results.

Keep up the impressive work, its great to have a glimpse into what the vq35 is truly capable of. If this works for you, it's great news for the rest of us as well.

Oh, and I hope this serves as a big "I told you so" for all the big fuel return line fanboys in the house. As I said all along, it is in no way required for big power.

Thanks...PLEASE NOTE: This project isn't the standard JWT kit we and a few select others are selling. It is a very modified system, yet when perfected will be available to all as a race and tuner kit. Alot of hardwork, dedication, and efforts from VRT, Clark and Jim, Mark. B, and myself. We are very very close to having what we consider the perfect Huge WHP set-up. Yet there is a cost for this power and it isn't cheap $$$$.

But very very promising for all of us.

We are having fun. More to come.

M

I can vouch for the fact that Michael's G35 is a daily driver. I've ridden in it! It is quiet, comfortable, and idles great. You would NEVER KNOW that this car was a monster in an Armani suit. But when he gets on the throttle, your eyes will get big and you'll think you're in the space shuttle!

I just got my VRT JWT TT kit installed this past week. Michael and VRT did a great job. Drove it home yesterday. All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE. I tried REALLY HARD to be cool on the way home. Even got 27 mpg!

By the way, Michael, my idle now is even better than when I was NA.

Can't wait to get this bad boy out on the track!

Good luck at Spring Mountain. Wish I could join you...

Believe it though....Yes Way...And Road Racing It this weekend on the waistegates at 505 WHP at 10 PSI.

Works for me, that pull to 160 is nuts.
