I second 350NV, last I heard it was a stock exhaust. He may have changed it but, I have not heard yet.

It's not stock.
It's not what most would think it is either. Not being sure how much Michael wants to save for the articles, I'll let him post on what kind it is. (don't want to step on toes!)

BTW, the track event was REALLY fun. Very technical and tight track! I'm not sure but I think 350ZNV (Mike) got the fastest lap time. Mike B. you can confirm that.

Back on topic, the 800hp G35 did awesome! No issues, ran clean and fast. He was on the wastegates at somewhere around 500HP for the event. Pulled a Ferrari F430 AND a Ford GT on the straight! I know a camera was in the car so I am sure video is to come. For those of you wondering why I stress "On the straight"; this is where driving skill, handling, braking etc ... almost doesn't matter. It's just a straight up race where simply the fastest car wins. It was awesome to see a G35 tear these guys up (much to their dismay).

Congrats on all of the new developments, but have you guys dyno'd on anything other then JWT's dynapack? I saw some suspiciously high numbers coming from JWTs dyno on a sand rail that made 500tq at a low psi then re-dynoing on a dynojet at the dyno shop it was down to like 320tq. I'm not saying your numbers are false, just curious is all.

I don't know who got the fastest time. We will have to wait for the results on SpeedVentures.net. I know that Mike's G35 is in desperate need of some camber arms as he corded yet another Hoosier.

I cannot confirm, nor deny any numbers involving cars (or Rails) that I have not seen Dyno'd with my own eyes. I know this though, every car we have dyno'd at Jim's shop we have taken to the Dyno Shop and put it on the Jet. There has yet to be anymore than a 5% difference.

For all of you wondering and/or doubting, Jim Wolf, Clark and Mark Brent as well as VRT are VERY adamant about honesty and integrity. I'm positive that I can safely say that there would NEVER be anything posted on these boards or anywhere else for that matter unless it is the absolute 100% truth.

I race my Kart and Motorcycles just about every nice weekend - I can tell you that exit corner speed coming onto the straight is just about the most important of all factors.

It seems like he can drive his **** off either way, congrats!

I know but I am just so hard up with these turbos??
760@ 20 psi ??

I'am thinking these 700BB @ 20psi on race gas a built motor mild head work and of course a nice 100 shot out the hole to handicap my shifting 5 times.

Drive it on wastegate spring when I go get ice cream.

What you think?

I'm thinking at that level those turbos are close to their max. I'm also thinking that I'd like to see what they put down on another dyno. I'm also thinking that a big single would be better for the 1/4mi but worse for the road course.

Dude plus +1,000,000
On what these things can do on another dyno on high boost.
Ah decisions it's freaking almost 1 in the morning, and I am sitting here thinking what turbos to go with (what a losser) I picked a bad time to take leave

Wow,

Haven't seen this thread in a long time. As for the car, it is in its stock form now after 56 track days and a bit of a motor compartment fire...Fudge....

All good and spotless now. Going to give it to my 16 year old kid IF AND ONLY IF the kid wants to break away from World of Warcraft to work this summer.

And only in a stock form for the kid... didn't seem appropriate to give him any-kind of loaded gun with too much speed.

As for maxing out the 700's, well with JWT's lead we actually fit the GT30 compressors in the GT28r housings. Very nice. Fits in the car just like the 700s will alot more *****.

A kinda hybrid and this is how you can expect to NOT be maxed out at around 600-700 WHP.

It is a custom BB700 kit to say the least.

LOL...This set-up is now in my Yellow Time Attack Car...Makes 600 WHP as a jog - no brainer. We plan on turning it up to 30 PSI next month and see what we can put down...600 WHP @15 psi is what I'm currently road racing with. Yet remember, this is a fuctional racecar so isn't a dynoqueen at all so no matter what the final output, she has to put the power to the tarmack and gogogo....

This set-up would be fine for drag racing yet I would be as concerned with suspension, weight, and traction as what turbos to use...If you want to be really fast.

Good-luck.

HERE IS THE NEW CAR with the upgraded 700s (GT28/30r). Thank for digging up this old thread...

M
