Anyone have luck with the installation of the Kinetix SSV and the (newer) Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator that comes with the AAM return fuel system? I could not get it to fit the way it was done in the ZchickZ write-up. they did use a different model FPR, perhaps it was different enough to allow it to fit more easily.
I decided to reroute the FPR over to the left rear of the engine bay. My problem is the fuel hose that i am using to reach over to the left rear of the engine comes apart on the inside when i tighten the fittings onto the ends of the hose. kind of like drilling into fabric and the fabric catching and turning with the drill. basically sealing the openings once the fittings are tightened all the way. i cut the ends off the hose and tried again, same result.
anyone have any ideas or tips on how to install the fittings without tearing up the inside of the hose? anyone know of a good place to get steel braided fuel lines and fittings like the ones supplied in the AAM RFS kit? i don't have the aluminum tools for tightening and loosening the fittings, so one fitting is ate up a bit.
once i reroute this damn FPR i will be able to finish my install of the SSV. Damn!!!! that thing is beatiful. that thing looks more awesome in person than it does in pictures. can't wait to run my car with it on!!!

I was able to just let it hang until I can make the trip to NC for Sharif and CPR to relocate the FPR.
But it sucks, cause well just cause.
You will just have to route it... Mount it elsewhere and for those lines... Well I think you can just get them from http://www.summitracing.com/ in different lengths and stuff...
Also I bet you can call AAM and ask for new hoses/fittings so you can re-route/mount elsewhere. Def. what sucks about the plenum, but it is so purdy

i have been asked if i can actually see the FPR gauge now that my FPR has been relocated, the answer is yes. i know it is hard to read the gauge when installed in the regular location with the OEM plenum so relocating the FPR not only looks good but makes the gauge face more accessible.
