I don't understand where these misinformed people get the idea that turbos are more maintenance than blowers. This couldn't be farther from the truth...

because you know jack shat about about this stuff........

the ONLY reason they use blowers is because they're cheaper and easier to build systems on OEM cars than turbo setups.

I have also been contemplating this kit, however I have no experience w/ FI whatsoever. What mods would be considered necessary before installing a single turbo kit, with respect to the integrity and longetivity of the engine?

If it's a kit, then everything should be included with it.

Hmm lets see. Dodge uses turbos in the PT cruiser, SRT-4, and the upcoming Caliber or whatever its called. I don't recall a S/C Dodge coming off the line this year at all. All of the fastest Benz cars are "Bi-turbo". Jaguar is Ford owned using Ford's motors which are designed for Roots SC. Thats about the only thing correct in your entire post. Oh and the reason they go with old Roots Blowers is because its a BIATCH to up the boost on them without someone noticing you swapped the pulley when you pop the motor. Thats the same reason Stillen uses it. Now go away troll.

Correct. Install the kit out of box with some one step colder plugs and keep up on oil changes... Thats about it.

Actually yes the Jags are. Have you checked Jag quality lately. It blows. Thats what happens when you are owned by Ford. How many times do we have to tell you... THE FASTEST MB CARS ARE POWERED BY TWIN TURBOS.

OK, not meaning to sound like the total idiot I am, If u were to purchase a turbo kit, all necessary parts are included in the kit, and there's no need to like replace and upgrade the pistons, cams, etc. before installing?

Very cool.

I've never had a mod-worthy whip before, and I'm really looking forward to continue taking my 2 month old 06 Z to the next level.

you're trying to claim that it's better in some way shape or form than turbos, when by factual evidence that's not true.

of course MB, Jag, Range rover are all trying to be cheap by using roots style blowers. THEY ARE COMPANIES TRYING TO MAKE PROFITS you stupid shat. Maybe you need to get a BS in economics, instead of BSing about this crap.

evos, STI do not use SC because they have small 2.0 and 2.5l engines. As far as porsche ..you think they are building cars to loose money?????maybe you ought to teach them economics.
and Saleen S7 ..you call that a car ? or better a car you drive everyday to work?

That is correct. At low 400s HP wise you should be fine on the stock motor.
